CHAPTER TWENTY ONEI finally got the thought of the story out of my head and got a good night rest, which I knew of because I was awake at the moment starting at myself in my slacked leggings and a faded tight blue top. I had no idea what Lucian had in mind but I knew he would have expected me to put a little effort into my appearance but I could not do anything. I had no presentable clothes. I was going to talk to him about this issue later, I needed a job if I actually wanted to survive here. I need new bathroom items and some clothes I could least wear when either Henrietta or Lucian felt the need to take me out. I sat on my mind using that time to wait for Henrietta. I'm used to seeing her in here every morning. Just like I had predicted, Henrietta knocked on the site few minutes later. Anxious to see her I ran to the door and opened it with a smile.“Good morning,” Henrietta said before pulling me into a bone-crushing hug.“Good morning to you too,” I said with a smile. She walk

CHAPTER TWENTY THREE“Thanks” I mumbled. Lucian leaned closer to me. He stared into my eyes and I could he was conflicted. Did he want to do something he was not sure about? I suddenly had the urge to kiss him. Will he kiss me back if I kissed him now? He said he wasn't going to kiss me until he knew I wanted it. Will he think I did this because of the bond and not kiss me back? A risk I wasn't ready is take so I discarded the thoughts. No kissing and making a fool out of myself.“I_need to take_this off,” I said when his closeness was doing more than just an urge to kiss him. He stepped back, away from me with an apologetic look.“I’m sorry” I quickly said and left the room. I quickly removed the gown and changed back to my clothes. I handed the gown to the lady and she added it to the rest of the dress. With Lucian’s help and a lot of coming and going, we eventually get all of the clothes in the car.“Are you hungry?” Lucian asked and I nodded. Not really but anything to spend a lit

CHAPTER TWENTY FIVEI woke up feeling a bit sick from all the crying I did last night. What I'm I supposed to do now. Should I talk to Lucian about the the dream and also about Megan who is in trouble. Is talking about the dream important? Does the dream have anything to do with Megan and this said vampire king, I have no idea. After so much contemplation I decided that I had to talk to somebody about this and that will be Henrietta. She should be of help in this situation. I will never forgive myself if this dream has something to do with Megan. If I had talked when I had the dream but it hasn't even been three days yet. Is that considered too late? No, I shook my head vehemently. I stood up from my bed with a terrible headache but I still went about my morning routine but I made it quicker this time. I still have no wrist watch so telling the time is difficult for me. After putting in clothes I went downstairs to see if I would find Henrietta and I did.“Good morning Rietta” I gre

CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN“What?” Lucian answered looking at me. I swallowed hard, nervous to talk to him about this but I need Magan to be safe. At least I wanted to try.“I need your help,” I asked again this time sounding more confident. He walked back to my side and held my hands.“Ok. What is it you need my help with?” He asked? “Ahem_ can we get somewhere to stay?” I told him. He nodded and held my hands walking towards the field. I followed him.“Is this place ok with you?” He asked. I nodded.“Yes. Perfect” I answered as we both sat down on a bench that was there.“So what is it you need my help with”. I gave an awkward smile but he did not smile so I just stopped.“Yeah_ I have this friend, Megan. We were both slaves at the pack but she got taken before me. She wrote me a letter last night”“The one_” He cut me off and I did the same answering his unasked question.“Yes. The letter I got when we got back” I informed him.“What was the content of the letter?” He asked.“That’s whe

CHAPTER TWENTY NINEFLASHBACK TO A THOUSAND YEARS AGO“Guinevere” Shivers went down my spine when I heard the now familiar voice scream my name. I suddenly became scard. Had I done something bad to provoke him? The door to his chamber flung open and my eyes quickly close shut. “Stand up” He orders and I did immediately.“What is it I am hearing about you dinning with the wolf?” He asked again. I hurriedly shook my head in protest. I dared not speak against him so I stops still as he lashed out. “Speak!” He roared making his fangs come out. I was scared. My months of working here he has never done that to me. Yes he has gotten angry but not not like this. Some even say he's nicest to me of all the slaves here. I was scared of him not because he hurt me but because of the stories I heard of him.“He_he_” I stammered tears already threatening to fall as I fell when I slipped from walking backwards .“Talk Guinevere! Answer my question” He screamed at me.“I only did as I was instructed
