“You stink.” I murmured, a distasteful look plastered on to my face as I willingly allowed him to pull me up the stairs. Despite my words, he continued to puff at his cigar, and the scent slapped me straight in the face. I scrunched up my nose.Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against smoking or anything, especially since I’ve lived around men who are always either smoking or doing drugs, but… for some reason, the scent was so fucking strong to the point where it felt suffocating. When we stopped in his room, he thankfully took the cigar from between his lips and moved to the window before tossing it out. Then, he flew pass me, slamming the mahogany door shut. I jumped at the sound. He spun around to look at me and shot words the moment his eyes caught mine. “Has anything changed?!” His fingers suddenly grasped my shoulders in a tight hold, his ebony eyes bearing both impatience and worry.I blinked.“What do you mean?” I shrugged his hands off, feet pushing backwards on instinct. It wasn’

With all this drama going around, a nice, unexpected kiss like this makes my mind go blank. The stress just seems to go away, and my focus completely averts to his warm lips pushing against mine. Its calming. The kiss was not intense nor needy. It was just a few passionate seconds between us, and that’s exactly how it was supposed to be... until Kasan made the not-so-innocent move to slither his fingers under my shirt, hands caressing the skin of my waist. His body gently guided mine towards the wall as the kiss deepened, lips molding together and skin becoming hotter and hotter the harder we pushed against each other.I felt his teeth clamp down on my bottom lip lightly, then his hot tongue slipped out his mouth and flicked over my skin. A moan instantly fought its way through my lips. That was my cue to finally turn my face away and slip my hands between us, pushing at his chest. As expected, my efforts went nowhere because he didn’t budge.“K-Kasan, stop!” I whisper-shout, shiverin

New Boss, New Enemy
“Are you ready?” Kasan stopped beside me, placing his hand on my shoulder. “I’ve been ready.” I was standing in the middle of nowhere with my loaded gun resting on my shoulder and my head slightly tilted backwards as I stared up at a crooked old shed. The houses around these parts were either burnt to crips or torn down and this little shed was buried pretty deep in. It took a while to get here, but the distance didn’t drain my excitement. Just as Lucas said, Kasan had taken me with him. I was skeptical at first because it was kinda odd but here I am, on some badass mission to catch the nightwalker person. Lucas was by my side too, which I was happy about. Today, we’d find the bitch that shot him then we’d tear him apart together. That is what I’d call bonding. “Are you sure you’re okay?” I asked Lucas for the umpteenth time since we had set out. Kasan scoffed at that, but I ignored him. “You could stay in the car if you want. You don’t need to listen to everything Kasan says.”

Betrayal
Kasan’s POV: “The b-boss…is d-dead. E-Even I d-don’t know h-how he d…died. We…barely g-got a glimpse o-of his body before a-another guy s-suddenly took over… I h-heard he’s…. b-boss’s son.” The room went dead silent, making the sound of Kenley’s loud heartbeat and my now animalistic breathing reign above everything else. My chest was rising and falling aggressively and nostrils flaring like a raging bull. Half of the words this wimp had just uttered weren’t unexpected, so it was quite pathetic of me to feel myself tighten with disbelief. But the part where he said father’s dead was still news to my ears and I believe the dissatisfaction I feel because of it stems from losing the chance to show him how I, a blood thirsty werewolf overthrows him without a single use of my claws. Father always feared our power since the moment he knew of it, when behind that ‘I am the victim’ facade, he’s worse than us beasts. Betrayal, disloyalty… him and his ‘son’ are the same. I feel pathetic to s

Smoke
“Alpha’s really angry.” Lucas pointed out as we each took a seat inside the car, him in the driver’s seat and I in the passenger’s. “He just wanted some privacy. It’s between them both so it’s not our business.”“You think?” I rolled my eyes, my arms folding over my chest. After Kasan made us leave, we walked around outside for a while then Lucas brought me back all the way to the car so we could rest up a bit. I really wanted to stay but he was determined to give them privacy and I honestly didn’t want to fight with him over something like being too inquisitive. And annoyingly, I didn’t even get to grab my gun!Anyway, it hasn’t been that long since we left there, but I’m feeling quite anxious. Kasan doesn’t have any chill, I doubt he’d ask Kenley any questions before ripping him to shreds and plus, the dark look in his eyes definitely meant death. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him that angry. But they’re family, he’d go easy on him, won’t he?I for one, don’t believe for a second tha

Decisions
Lucas sped up the car as a distorted outline of a blazing mansion up ahead entered my vision. As we got closer and the car pulled to a stop just in front of it, new scents wafted into my nostrils.Wolfsbane…. There’s wolfsbane and also…. Blood!Panic came along with a sharp throbbing in my head, sweat rolling down my forehead. I was quick to tell myself to think pessimistic, but I couldn’t help the dreadful thoughts that ran through my mind.If this was the actual place my parents were being kept as Lucas said, which it more than likely is, what the hell happened here?! And where the fuck is mom and dad?!With my eyes trained on the raging flames scorching the building, I forced my trembling fingers to reach for the car door. I was more than ready to jump into the fire if I had to. But the problem is, how on earth would I know for sure if they’re inside? H-How will I---“…ra….Clara!”Lucas’s voice had my fingers halting on the handle. Slowly, I turned my head to look at him, and even

The Recording
“Let’s go.” I ushered Mom and Dad to the car while following behind Lucas who had become extremely silent with a miserable expression casted over his face. I glared at him. Why is he the one looking like that when I’m the one who’s traumatized? The more I look at him, the more I get the feeling he knows exactly what kind of effect he has on me and is wickedly using it to his advantage. This isn’t the first time he’s look at me as deadly as he did back there and it probably wouldn’t even be the last. As soon as my senses detects the side of him that I don’t want to see, every defense I’ve built all these years just jumps inside a box, meanwhile, my body begins to bend to his will all on its own. Right now, that’s exactly what’s happening and I hate it, I despise it.Lucas opened the door for me and stepped to the side gesturing for me to get in. I didn’t object and simply climbed in. When he went to close the door, I stretched out my palm expectantly. I didn’t look him in the eye, bu

The Voice
Words replayed in my head like a broken record.“…It was near midnight when I found two crying kids left on my doorstep…”“…she made you into a completely different person…”“…she’s more dangerous than werewolves themselves!”“…her blood turned her brother into a monster…”In the span of just a few minutes, there had been several revelations, but nothing devastated me more than the truth behind Lucas’s shift. That night… both mom and dad had been gone for days so Lucas and I were left alone at home. In the middle of most nights, we’d stay up messing with leftover food and blending them together with all sorts of chopped pretty flowers we picked outside. We were doing our own little experiment in the kitchen, but Lucas’ eyes went wide with terror the moment the edge of the knife missed the target and slammed into my finger.“What? You’re scared of a little bit of blood? I’m a gangster, I can’t even feel pain cuz of a measly cut!”I had laughed at him pretty hard but back then, Lucas ne

Familiar Faces
When I shifted awake, my eyes fluttered open to welcome the blinking of the dangling lightbulb attached to a crumbling concrete ceiling. When the bulb switched off, the room was in complete darkness and when it switched back on, the difference was made minor with only a dull flicker of light dispersing through the dark room. It was instinctual to immediately be on-guard after having woken up to somewhere eerily unfamiliar, so I was quick to jolt upwards, and with my senses on high alert, my gaze swept over my surrounding. The walls were made of concrete but looked extremely old with all the cracks spiraling everywhere. And there were no windows in sight, so the place was hot and suffocating as hell. The only possible escape was through the metal door that stood tall before me, but it seemed almost impossible to break down myself. With that said, I clearly understand why they didn’t bound my hands nor chain me to the wall. Thankfully, it seemed they left me untouched except for the

Two Sides
Nate…That fucker was unexpected, but I’m glad that I can proudly say we never got close enough for this to faze me much. However, I’m not sure how Kasan will take this news. Him, the twins and Kenley were of the few that he seemed to trust. At the moment, he thinks Kenley is a traitor… now this guy too. And as for the companion… “How’s it going, sister-in-law?” A grin plastered on Lora's lips. Smugly, she tilted her head to side as she lifted her arm to settle her elbow on Nate’s shoulder. “It was quite difficult for me when you saw my tattoo that day, luckily, I shot my shoulder instead of anywhere else.” She laughed, cocking the gun she had been carrying. With her head leaned to one side, I could clearly see the tattoo she spoke of, as if she deliberately wanted me to. It was a snake's head peeking out at the crook of her neck and the rest covered by the bandages wrapped over her shoulder. So, it was not a ‘him’? ‘She’ was the nightwalker bitch all along? But I…I could’ve swo
