Betrayal

Kasan’s POV:

“The b-boss…is d-dead. E-Even I d-don’t know h-how he d…died. We…barely g-got a glimpse o-of his body before a-another guy s-suddenly took over… I h-heard he’s…. b-boss’s son.”

The room went dead silent, making the sound of Kenley’s loud heartbeat and my now animalistic breathing reign above everything else. My chest was rising and falling aggressively and nostrils flaring like a raging bull. Half of the words this wimp had just uttered weren’t unexpected, so it was quite pathetic of me to feel myself tighten with disbelief.

But the part where he said father’s dead was still news to my ears and I believe the dissatisfaction I feel because of it stems from losing the chance to show him how I, a blood thirsty werewolf overthrows him without a single use of my claws. Father always feared our power since the moment he knew of it, when behind that ‘I am the victim’ facade, he’s worse than us beasts. Betrayal, disloyalty… him and his ‘son’ are the same.
