Lahat ng Kabanata ng Mafia's Deadly Obsession: Kabanata 71 - Kabanata 80

Amaira's POVHis lips then started moving down and was about to claim mine when we heard some sounds at the entry of the kitchen which made us snap our heads in its direction at the same time. Dominic groan in anger as he saw Austin standing there! "I came for water!" He croaked, his eyes moving at our bodies that were still attached to each other. I pushed Dominic away with my right hand as soon as I realized what was going on. He also understood that I was no longer at ease, so he took a step back on his own, creating a healthy distance between the two of us. Austin stepped forward, filled a glass of water, and began sipping it while Dominic gave him a deathly stare. He seemed to want to murder him with his eyes. He was waiting for him to leave so that he could continue from where he left, but Austin was drinking water slowly."Amaira!" Before Austin could leave Ava came in calling my name "how much more time will you take?" She asked, "you have to get ready as well!" She told m

Amaira's POVMy birthday went really well. Austin took all of us for a family dinner after we returned from the picnic, making my birthday extra special. When I said there was no need for all of this, he explained that taking everyone out serves two purposes. One is my birthday, and the other is that Christmas is tomorrow so he wanted all of us to spend time together. According to him, festivals are the reason for the family to spend time together. I was already wide awake, but I was too tired to walk down the stairs. My mind was just thinking about the last day i.e. my birthday and the way Dominic made it special for me. I don't have enough words to thank him. The loud banging on my room's door brought me out of my reverie and forced me out of bed. I opened it only to be attacked by John, my monkey!"Merry Christmas, Amy!" He wished me while hugging me tightly and moving our bodies together from here to there. "Merriest Christmas, John!" I smiled and hugged him back. "You know Amy

Amaira's POV"Where were you Anthony?" Mother's question grabbed our attention and our heads turned in her direction "why you stayed away from us for so many years?" She inquired further "how could you do this to us?" He released a puff and looked down. He appears to have felt bad for being away from his family even though he was alive. But now mother's emotions have subsided and I believe she is now in a mood to ask everything and take out all the complaints that she is burying inside herself for so many years. "You did not attempt to meet or see us. Did you ever think about us?" She began asking questions after questions, while mine and John's eyes were fixed on dad, who was getting pretty elderly. My eyes couldn't even blink since I was afraid he would vanish if I closed my eyes even for a millisecond. I finally got him after so many years, and my heart can't bear the thought of losing him again at any cost."Anthony, speak out! What were you doing and where were you?" She asked

Amaira's POV"Despite my best efforts, I was unable to save the orphanage this time because my father was already aware of my true motivations. He stopped depending on me and asking me for support as he did not trust me anymore. I was trying to find ways to make my father's plan fail when I first met your father, Anthony Faye,"He gave me a sharp glance as he blink."I discovered that he, like me, is fighting against his superiors to rescue the lives of helpless people. As our motives and way of working were the same we teamed up and worked together, but due to our lack of resources and power, we were unable to accomplish much. My father eventually set the orphanage on fire, and when I saw it burning in front of me, I believed there was nothing more that could be done. At the time, I lacked the courage to stand up to my father and the police officers who had gathered around the orphanage. That person was none other than your father, who you saw with your own eyes in the video clip. Ye

Amaira's POVHe appeared to be very anxious. Before saying those words, which I could sense coming from somewhere, he swallowed and blink in nervousness. He moistened his lips just before saying those words. "I" he paused and took a deep breath. I asked him to continue as I cocked my head. "Lo..." I was eagerly anticipating his confession of feelings. Before he could say anything else, though, we heard the ring of his phone, which caused us to pull apart. He pulled the phone out of his pocket and groaned in disappointment. He stared at the screen for a second before hanging up the phone and tilting his head up to face me to continue where he left off When he was finally able to open his mouth, the phone started ringing once more. This time I was also getting irritated with his phone as the timing was really wrong. I desperately want him to tell me what's there in his heart. He made a puppy face which I had seen for the very first time. He was looking cute though. He sighed and
