Lahat ng Kabanata ng Mafia's Deadly Obsession: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

Dominic's POVMy world came to a halt the moment Amaira was struck by a car. Her body flew through the air before landing on her stomach with a loud thud. Her eyes shut closed after blinking for once, her lips parted to yell but nothing came our except a silent scream. My eyes caught every detail, and everything appeared to be moving in slow motion."Amaira!" I yelled and dashed to her, but I was too late; she had already passed out before I could even reach her. Her head was surrounded by a pool of blood, her eyes were closed, and her body was limp. I was terrified looking at her in this state. I've never been more terrified in my life. Her fingers were moving slightly, implying that she is still alive which relaxed me a bit. For the time being, I have decided to suppress my anxiety and think with my intellect. I turned her body and carried her in my arms before sprinting to the hospital, constantly praying for her and our baby's life. "DOCTOR! DOCTOR! DOCTOR!" I started screaming

Amaira POVAfter Dominic left the room, my mother and the caretaker entered and assisted me in taking a lengthy and satisfying bath. I brushed my teeth and had a relaxing bath until I was not contented as I was having it after full three days. I had previously decided to use the footage against Dominic and imprison him and his father for killing my father and small kids so brutally. They fully deserve the punishment for murdering those innocent souls years ago, but I am not feeling energetic enough to fight them alone right now, but that doesn't mean I am going to spare them. They are not allowed to roam freely after taking so many lives.Lady Catherine arrived to summon us for lunch after I finished taking a bath and changing into comfortable clothing. I was not in a mood to see anyone's face or talk to them. When I refused to go down, she said that she knew I wouldn't come down if she sent the servant, so she came here herself, and she also told me that a surprise was waiting for m

Amaira's POV"Mine!" He said in between his teeth "He is my son!" His words rendered me dumbfounded. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped in shock. His son? How many secrets has he kept to himself? He knows everything about me, and even though I have been with him for months, I still don't know anything! This is not fair. I believe this is because I never sought to know anything related to his past or him. After all, I didn't care!I opened my mouth to say something but my lips closed as soon as they opened because my brain couldn't form any words. My mind was still trying to comprehend what he was saying. He took advantage of the situation and stole the photograph from my grasp, which I let him do without pulling it back. Before placing it back in the drawer, he double-checked that it was still in good condition and it didn't tear up with my carelessness. "I only have this in the name of his memory and I can't afford to lose it!" He told me. "Where is he now?" I asked blinking at

Amaira's POV"After the baby took birth my undivided attention was drifted to him. I was not paying any attention to his mother, which was not digestible to her. She never saw my love and accepted me when I asked her earlier, but after the birth of my child, she wanted to be a permanent part of my life as she couldn't accept that I was giving all of my love to my kid. One day she said that she is ready to accept my proposal and marry me, but I responded the next day by saying that the proposal is no longer accessible and that she can now go wherever she wants, I don't really care about her" He took a deep breath. His eyes were now turned red and his nose was flaring. "Then she did the cruelest thing that no mother could ever do. She stopped feeding the baby after she tried every tactic and nothing worked on me. My son used to cry out of hunger" his lower lip quivered as he told me this "I immediately hired a nanny for him and requested her to leave my house, but she refused. She sta

Amaira's POVI went straight to my room and was so restless that I decided to spend the rest of the day there. The servant arrived at my room to summon me for dinner, but I told him merely to bring the food to my room because I didn't want to talk to anyone. I am now feeling really lonely and miss my father badly. He was a really mature man, and I am confident that if he had been here, he would have solved half of my problems. I can't even express my anxiety with my mother because she has a heart problem and I don't want her to be stressed out unnecessarily, this would adversely affect her health making me even more restless. I tried to read books to pass the time because I wasn't sleepy and couldn't distract my mind. My thoughts kept returning to my father, and his agonizing screams were still echoing in my ears. I know I won't be able to find peace until I give him justice, but I can't have the resolve to take the case to court and put Dominic behind bars.I put the book down after
