The sun began to peek through the horizon, bathing the city in a golden early morning glow that reminded me of Dylan's eyes. I've never really taken a moment to simply admire the sunrise so I didn't realize until now how mesmerizing it was to witness the city slowly waking up as it went higher up in the sky. It was such a shame that instead of seeing the usual bustle in this part of the city, my eyes only caught sight of the aftermath of the rampage that went on the night before. As the birds chirped along the nearly deserted sidewalks, I peeled my gaze off of the road, disturbed by the bodies that were laying on the ground. Dylan couldn't help but shake his leg in anxiety as he looked at the passing buildings through the tinted windows.
