Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Dragon Slayer's Queen : Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

Have you ever had that feeling you were floating? having an out-of-body experience? That is what I am feeling right now. My life in a few short months had just shattered because of the bomb that had just dropped on me. The things I thought I knew were not true.Ari had been silent. She was angry, hurt, and sad. I felt numb after my blow-up. There was a knock at the door. I hoped whomever it was would leave. Someone walks in after I hear another knock and a turn of the door. But I didn’t bother looking up, I pressed my face into my pillow. The person was sitting on the edge of my bed.The person just sat there for a moment, sighed, and then I looked up, whipping the tears away that were pouring down my cheeks, seeing Jenifer staring at me with a sad expression. “Are you okay Zayla? As she pulled me into a hug, she asked. I moved away from her. “I don’t think I’ll be okay for a long time. How did my life get so turned upside down? It’s a lot to process.” I said, exhaling.“I get it Zayla

Jenifer got to my house. No one was home. My parents explained to me they came clean to my sisters about what happened that night, that we all were shifters, and that they would not be shifting until the magic seal was removed when they were 18 years old. You would guess right, they were unhappy about it and they were upset at me about how I messed up their plans, etc... My mother told me to give them some time and they would come around. It was a significant change because they would come with us when we prepared to leave in a couple of months to a whole other realm, which I was still trying to wrap my mind around. They would start their training for me come future Queen’s guard as my parents did. I was looking forward to meeting my sister, me and Ari had contacted her a few times. We got to know each other a lot more. It was like finding your other half. I grew up with my sister, but never really had that connection with them. My sister’s dragon’s name was Katie. She mentioned th

I know what you’re thinking. I lied about myself and what I was, but I kept thinking about the women who appeared to me, telling me I needed to protect Zayla.I thought it was the right thing to do because I had a strong feeling that Zayla needed me.Even if I get penalized by the council, Ron suggested he would keep them off my case and not answer any calls from my father.I couldn’t explain why I felt so drawn to her, why I questioned everything I knew, what I had been taught to do, everything that was drummed in me.For a girl, I only knew for a short time, but being next to her seeing her smile, and laugh, oh that laugh is enchanting. The way her eyes lit up when she was happy and how the sparks that erupted when we touched or hugged made me feel things. I didn’t know where possible I was an excellent warrior, always following orders. She wasn’t like those monsters, neither was her family.Alex and Zander went too far in attacking Zayla and her friend. I made a silent promise to ma

I was in sheer shock, peering down at Zayla. I was covered in blood, not sure if it was mine or Zayla’s. I had no feeling of pain despite fragments of glass littering my whole body and torn clothes... I focused all my energy on Zayla as fear crept up my spine. Seeing her writhing in pain and screaming every time one of her bones shifted or cracked. Attempting to reshape to create space for her dragon form. I kept my attention on Zayla, as I tried to soothe her with calming energy flowing from my fingertips to settle over her, but to no avail. It wasn’t helping. I needed to get her to her sister quickly before this shift kills her. I gaze up, inspected my surroundings, attempting to find my phone, but I couldn’t find it, not willing to leave Zayla’s side because of the idiots. I turned my attention to Alex, still standing in the same place blankly, like a deer in the headlights. Looking pasted him, I luckily do not see any sign of Zander. but I didn’t want to give myself a chance t

As I made my way out to the backyard, I saw a beautiful woman standing in the center of the yard with candles surrounding her in a circle, and her eyes were closed. She had beautiful olive skin and long black hair, and she was wearing a sentinel dress, her hands up in the air, chanting something. Maria walked beside me, grabbed my hand, and gave it a squeeze of reassurance; she was like a mother to me, so to feel like she was keeping something from me was really from me, as a lump formed in my throat. I forced it down. I squeezed her hand back. We will figure it out later; let's move closer; she insisted we would be leaving soon; we moved closer, and I could feel the magic. Katie purred as she felt a familiar calmness wash over her. I looked shocked as I glared at Maria; she chuckled, "It's a magic, protection spell of the circle that Rachel created." A few minutes later, Henry joined us with a frown etched on his face. Is everything okay, I asked. He huffed, said yes, and kept his e
