I immediately went after Jennifer this time around I wasn't really bothered that there were so many people looking at me. It was crag to me how quickly I lost her in the sea of heads but then I found her taking the main exit, I immediately went after her, holding her wrist to stop her when I caught up with her but that was a mistake because with her free hand she slapped me hard across the face and turned around to leave. It was a struggle for her because regardless of the pain stinging on my face, "I'm not letting you go until you listen to me, let's go somewhere, coworkers are watching ""Let them watch!" She snapped at me and yanked at her wrist again, breathing heard. It wasn't my intention to hurt her, but letting go of her was not an option right now. "It's not what it looks like, you have to trust me.""So what is it then!" She shook her head and smiled sarcastically, "oh my God Daniel we were only separated for a day, you know I was starting to think oh hey maybe you actuall

I jumped to my feet when I saw Jennifer's call coming in. I realised now that I had missed her text message telling me she was at Stella's and I hurried to answer the phone, so much going through my mind. I wondered if she had maybe gotten in a fight and now someone was calling me to tell me she was not doing okay. When I'd been unable to reach after leaving their house. I had gone straight for a bar to drink, longing for the feeling from the night I was drunk."I just saw your text, are you okay? Why did you go there? Is anything wrong?" I don't know what I was expecting but definitely not the calm voice that came after."Relax Daniel, I'm fine, I'm just waiting for a cab to come get me or something...""Where are you?" I asked her sharply, not waiting for her to finish her sentence, "I can come get you." A whole sense of relief washed over me."I'm at the bus station actually, I wanted to see if I could find a bus that would take me to your place from here but there isn't so...""My

SarahMy parents had been arguing in their room non stop since my dad returned. At this point I was done with bawling my eyes out so I couldn't bring myself to cry. I sat in front of the television after getting some cookies from the fridge. If I wasn't going to be raising this child with Daniel then I didn't want to have it. I still hadn't brought myself to the acknowledgement that I was pregnant and I honestly didn't plan to anytime soon.Daniel.Just the thought of his name was enough to bring tears to my face. I took a deep breath in and was about to let out another round of wailing when the breaking news came on."... Is under mass attack eight now, the cops are on their way to the neighborhood to make things better but the explosion has revealed many people are injured, it's a large terrorist group, and so while the cops have already begun taking action there are so many it is going to take a while to pull them all out we haven't revealed any dead victims in yet this will go do

Jennifer It had been a week since my shooting and I hadn't been strong the whole time. I knew they weren't exactly allowing families to connect with each other but I had yet to recover from the shock of it so I spent most of my time not knowing of my family meeting but today I was fully back to my senses. My sister and parents were by my side. My mom was stroking my hair, sitting at the foot of my bed with all this hospital equipment still connected to me."How do you feel now?" She asked me for the umpteenth time. She probably expected me to stumble and pass out. I heard I'd undergone surgery to have the bullet taken out and I had zero memories of it. it had to be the seamless surgery ever."Mom, I'm fine, relax." I rolled my eyes at her, my dad still wasn't talking to me but it didn't matter. I winced at the slight pain I felt on my shoulder where the bullet had hit me. The pain relief medications were helpful, but the image of me being fired created a weird phantom pain."Where'

A few weeks later."Here you go, our special pasta Dran meal." I served the plate to a couple sitting on the first table. It had been three weeks since I started working at Hooked on the waitress. It was a restaurant where we served food wearing swimsuits that were form fitting and showed a lot of cleavage. At first I was sceptical taking the job then when I heard that the pay was $50 per hour and I could work for eight hours a day I hopped on it straight away. The best part of it was Daniel and I had moved to this side of town because his new job at a different print company was an hour drive away and the restaurant was a fifteen minutes drive from home.Speaking of Daniel, there he was sitting on one of the tables, pretending to look through the menu as though his eyes were not heavily fixed on me. I was heading back to the kitchen when I stopped in front of him for a brief second, "sir, what will you be having?""Your best meal," he lowered his voice, "you." I rolled my eyes "chee
