Astraea's POV THE NEXT DAY Since it was the weekend, I could proceed according to my plan. Hastily taking a shower I went into my closet. The weather was nice and welcoming, so I opted for a dropped waist blue mini skirt and paired it with a laced white top. It was cute.My natural blonde curls rested gracefully on my shoulders. Taking my purse, I ran down. Mom and Dad were having their breakfast. "Good morning folks." I chirped. My dad carefully looked at my outfit and narrowed his eyes. "The skirt looks too---" "Pretty." My mom cut his words and side-eyed him.Dad awkwardly cleared his throat and I swear I wanted to laugh seeing his face.It reminded me of Voldemort, except for the nose of course. "Yeah. Pretty, very pretty. But where are you going right now? I thought you had no plans today." I pulled out the chair for myself while Mom served me delicious chocolate pancakes full of choco chips- just the way I like. "I didn't but then I remembered that I need a book for my

Astraea's POV After strolling through the forest for almost an hour, I finally found the town road. It was 6 a.m. and figuring that it probably wasn't the ideal time to greet my parents at their door, I walked toward Emily's. Her parents were out of town so I won't have to answer anyone, except Em of course. Right, Em. She did call me, I wonder why? It took me almost twenty minutes to reach the Anderson's. The entire front yard was filled with rose flowers. Emily's mother had a weird obsession with them, but of course, no one in the family could object her whether they like it or not. You really don't want to get on the bad side of Mrs. Anderson. It gets really.. dirty. I knocked on the door a few times and a sudden paddling sound came from inside. The door opened with a bang, making me flinch. A messed-up Emily stood in front of me. Her hair resembled a half-eaten haystack, the pajamas were riddled up on one side, all creased and crumpled. Her eyes were profusely red, staring at

Astraea's POV "Uh hun, the night is still young Em." The golden eyes were shimmering with curiosity. They were studying me and weirdly, it made me feel alive. Was I craving for those eyes to look at me? Maybe I was. I still am. It was like a breath of fresh air. Zeus's attention on me seemed to blur everything around. The mysteries, the dead-ends, everything took a back seat.It was just me and him. Taking five more shots and gulping them down one by one, my head felt too light-headed. My body didn't feel burdened under gravity, instead, it was almost as light as the feathers. The unseen shackles holding me were now broken. I was no more bounded but free and those glowing golden orbs only tend to increase the tenacity in me.Buring me with an unknown desire. I stood up and walked to the dance floor. My forest green eyes held Zeus's attention solely to myself. My heart danced in a neverending melody. He was no longer paying attention to the fake glitters beside him. Her giggles

Author's POVHer golden hair shined like shimmery strands under the moonlight. The light breeze felt like icicles on her naked skin. It was almost midnight and the little town called Castleville was already in a deep sleep.Except two. They were lost in their own world. One was almost dancing and swaying on the empty streets which glowed under the moonlight while the other had his eyes stuck on the innocent little vixen. It was like he was the one intoxicated, drunk in her.Was he always so spellbinding under her spell? He wondered but not once did his eyes deviated. No, it was stuck on her. Like those stars who dim themselves to make the moon shine a lot brighter than anything in the sky.For him, he was the star among many while she was the only moon in his entire sky. He was the shadow, her shadow. He was meant to watch her, to protect her from every soul which intended to inflict harm on her innocent soul. All his life, he wished was her happiness, her smiles. He was ready to tak

Astraea's POVI always knew running was the choice of a coward. Hell, and being a coward was something I never learned.Yet here I stood, behind a damn locker as if it could protect me from getting squished under the catastrophe I created. A pit of my ownhell. I knew from the core of my very existence that it was stupid, but the heart was even stupider. The fear of the unknown nightkept on growing in my heart, being wary of the consequences. But before I could jeopardize anything, my skin felt on fire, like the sweet burn spreading through every pore of my pale skin. His hot breath fanned my ears. I was sure it was red by now, but I couldn't muster up the courage to look into his eyes."Running away already?"The mock was clear in his tone and as much as I tried to ignore it, the red bloomed on my cheeks.Sighing, I turned and looked at him, who still had the small smug smirk on his lips.Well not for long."You wish!!"He chuckled. The breathy sound was enough to take away the futi
