CHAPTER 27

Her golden hair shined like shimmery strands under the moonlight. The light breeze felt like icicles on her naked skin. It was almost midnight and the little town called Castleville was already in a deep sleep.

Except two. They were lost in their own world.

One was almost dancing and swaying on the empty streets which glowed under the moonlight while the other had his eyes stuck on the innocent little vixen.

It was like he was the one intoxicated, drunk in her.

Was he always so spellbinding under her spell?

He wondered but not once did his eyes deviated.

No, it was stuck on her. Like those stars who dim themselves to make the moon shine a lot brighter than anything in the sky.

For him, he was the star among many while she was the only moon in his entire sky. He was the shadow, her shadow. He was meant to watch her, to protect her from every soul which intended to inflict harm on her innocent soul.
