Rescue
Ryker. As soon as I stepped into the pack grounds that night I instantly knew something was wrong.   Usually, I kept the patrol of the pack grounds to my enforcers but today was their day off they deserved it; this week had been long and grueling. Fending off vampires from the border wasn’t exactly a pastime of mine but it still had to be done.   I opted to do it alone but Tao, the head enforcer of my pack; ever the work alcoholic accompanied me.   I don't exactly know why I wanted to take on the patrol work today, maybe it was because I missed the feeling of the chilly night breeze caressing my skin and ruffling my hair or it was because I missed my nightly runs. Either way I just wanted to get out of the confines of the house this night.   A few minutes after I started the familiar patrol formation I caught a strong metallic scent in the air and I very well knew what t

Temptation
Ryker.I leaned towards the door pulling the latch backwards as the door swung open and the woman climbed into the car shutting it. "Who is behind you" I asked watching her as I took note of the look on her face. "Vampires," she drew out a shaky breath. I looked up past the windows to see black shapes moving towards the car. I could count five, maybe six of them getting closer and closer. I could take them out if I wanted to but I had to think of Tao and the woman’s safety, six vampires would be difficult for wolf to take down even if it was a Beta as skilled as Tao. Tao swerved the car round and the backlight of the car flickered to life as the vampires withdrew, slinking away from the light hissing violently. He gunned the car which shot forward and out of the place. The vampires knew better than to go after the car, they'd be heading right into wo

Naked
Ava.I jerked awake; my eyes hurting as I clutched my throat gasping for air, choking, as I tried to draw air into my lungs.I beat around me, my hands trashing the air as I fought something unseen before returning my hands back to my throat, the unseen grip that was wrapped around it still choking me.It took me a few seconds to realize I wasn't in a dream any more but in a room. I calmed down after knowing this. The suffocating feeling I had experienced earlier was gone and I drew lungfuls of air into my body.As I sat on the bed breathing in and out I couldn't remember what the dream had been. Only one memory stood out to me and that was a blade running across my neck.I moved my hands to my neck and touched it, there was a faint scar running from one end of my neck to the other end. I didn't know if I could link the scar with the dream I just had; problem was I couldn't remember how this scar got to my neck. What had happened to me?Why couldn't I remember who I was, what my past l

The three names
Ryker.Zane? Who the fuck was Zane and why had she been mentioning his name that way with so much affection. It disturbed me a great deal that she would mention another guy’s name right before she kissed me. In a way I was mad with myself for feeling…jealous. I barely knew this woman and yet here I was feeling like crap just because she has called out another man's name. Did this Zane know she was here? I found it funny that the fact she had mentioned another man's name seemed to be more in my mind than the fact she had stumbled into my room and seen my nakedness. I couldn't shake the look I caught in her eyes at the moment she set her eyes on my cock. In a way I felt weirdly satisfied, I liked her expression at that moment; awe and shock. It could be summarized to mean she had never seen anything quite like mine. "Are you listening to me

The Grave.
Ava. The fact that I couldn’t remember much of who I was starting to freak me out. Occasionally I would have flashes of names, scenes, places I couldn’t even remember and feelings I was certain I had experienced at some part of my life which I had no memory of. The creepiest part of everything was the dreams. The dreams woke me up with a suffocating feeling. Breathing after I had one of them always proved to be a monumental task. I didn’t know what was happening or what must have caused the memory loss but I was really eager to get my memories back. Someway, anyway. That’s why I had woken up today and decided to ask for help. If there was something I could do to try and get my memories back, even a sliver of my past then I had to do it. The three names I had just called out to Ryker were the ones prominent in my head, they clouded my thoughts like a plague and each time I tried to recollect who those names belonged to or what

Desires.
Ava. I couldn't get what Ryker told me off my mind neither could I sleep. Every time I tried I kept seeing images of that hole and Ryker pointing, telling me I had somehow crawled out of there.   It was impossible to think I had done so, I had seen the depth of that hole and it shocked me to think I had actually dug myself out of there. How had I even gotten into a grave in the first place?   I could remember nothing of what must have made me to end up in a hole as deep as that. I sighed, rubbing at my face as I looked around me in the dimly lit room the only light coming from the night lamp close to me.   The dreams were intensifying, the occasional flash of memories, faces and thoughts I couldn't remember was becoming worse. I glanced at the clock on the wall ahead of me.   Three a.m.   I let out a tired breath. I wasn’t getting enough sleep because of

Unwrapped Gift.
Ryker.I sat in my chair watching the meeting proceedings as it took place i could barely focus on anything that was being said. Occasionally some words filtered into my ear but asides that nothing else  I was completely focused on something else my memory locked unto the kiss from last night. Goddess, this woman, Ava, was doing to him things he thought he grown past; slowly she was starting to get under his skin, plaguing his thoughts like an epidemic of some sort. Yesterday had been one of those days; days when he had been caught in the crossfire between his werewolf and vampire side. He had spent half an hour battling them both as they fought inside him like vicious animals. The fits came and went occasionally but none of them had been as violent as the one of yesterday had been. It angered me to know that even after so many years I hadn't fully gotten a grip on the va

Trouble at the Border
Ryker  The shrill burr sound of my phone on top of the nightstand close to my bed and the vibration of the wood dragged me from sleep. I groaned, stretching my arms as I tried to reach for the phone, my fingertips knocking against the wood before they settled on the phone. I grabbed it and pressed the receiver, putting the phone to my ears.  "There better be a godamn good reason why you decided to call me by three am on a Saturday night. You know I sleep in late and I don't need disturbance" I growled into the phone. "It's bad actually. They are here again." "Spill, who is here?" "The vampires but this time there seems to be a little bit of a problem." "Again spill" I snapped. Clearly the irritation of being woken up from my beauty sleep hadn't worn off me yet. "I can sm

Cade.
Ava Fuck. I dabbed at the blood that was seeping from my neck in slow and steady trickles wondering my Hy my healing powers hadn't kicked in yet. Surprisingly I didn't even know where the cut had come from. One minute ineqs fine and the next minute when I touched my neck I could feel a warm sensations fille my hands after I had taken it away from my neck. The most peculiar part about the whole thing was that it wasn't healing. Our kind had no problem with healing, so I couldn't understand why mine wasn't taking effect. I took another cotton wool in my failed attempt to control the flow of blood and dabbed at my neck. Releasing another frustrated sigh I tossed the blooded wool into the trash and folded my arms in my laps. The dreams hadn't come today and even thought I knew I should he happy they hadn't plagued me today I was still suspicious. I was a strong believer of the saying the calm before a storm do I was still wary why the dream hadn't come. The names were still in my he

Memories
Ryker  Before Ava stepped into my office today I had already chastised myself from doing anything funny. I knew that both of us together  in a closed space with locked doors always ended up with both of us longing for each other but today I was going to try and keep myself under check. After the K9 incident yesterday I had been on high alert. It couldn't be that she was back, the more I tried to tell myself that it was our the more I knew deep down that the scentiI had gotten from the scarf Tao showed me was proof that she had really been there. After all these years why was she back, what did she need, ehathavic could she possibly trying to cause this time. I slowly exhaled and rubbed the back of my neck. Thinking about her always left me feeling angry and irritated; she was a past I wanted to keep buried and I didn't want anything to do with unearthing this past.
