Eloive was out of bed the moment the sun was up in the sky. He wasn’t a morning person but if he wanted to escape the horrors of the palace today, he needed to be up and about. The Fae Queen would be coming today and there was nothing Eloive hated more than receiving visitors. He didn’t have a problem with the Vampire King since he was always asleep when the Lord of the Undead came to visit. Eloive was also glad when he heard that the girls had been driven away. He knew they would be back but he would every minute in their absence. A royal breakfast was mandatory on a day like this but he wasn’t interested in his grandmother’s rant. He didn’t want to be lectured about his behaviour, and he certainly didn’t want to listen to her scolding Crinka for canceling the Claiming. Eloive smiled as he hurriedly scrubbed his skin. No wolf had ever dared to do that, and he was proud of her being the first. With her presence in the iced mountains, there would always be something to look forward to

“Mila, do the princes have a lounge where they err.. hang out?”. Mila pauses in her embroidery work to look at me. “Yes, my lady.” “Great. Take me there”. She shakes her head. “I’m sorry my lady but I simply do not know the place”. “You could ask your friends. They might know”. She shakes her head. “It’s for the royal princes my lady. We know that they do have a lounge, but no one knows where it’s located”. “Not even the king?”. “Not even the king my lady. I heard that they made it that way, a secret only known to themselves. Rumour has it that when the princes want to escape from their parents and work, they go there.” “That’s just wow”. “If you don’t mind me asking my lady, why did you ask about it?”. “I just wanted to talk to Sia amidst his brothers, but that won’t be happening now that there’s a secret lounge only they know about”. “You can still talk to him amidst his brothers my lady. I heard that they are in the dining room having some fun”. “Is Sia there?”. “Yes my

My heart pounded in my ears as I ran past servants and maids, holding my bleeding side. My blood would leave a trail for them to follow, but I do not care. The most important thing is getting to the south wing.I keep running, gasping heavily once I reach the South wing. I run straight for Sia's chambers, opening the door and locking it once I'm in. But it appears that I'm not alone. Fear bubbled in my veins as I noted the pale-skinned man on Sia's bed. He inhales deeply, fangs lengthening.Vampire."What are you doing here?", I ask, reaching gingerly for the small knife Sia had taped to the wall."I should be asking you the same wolf", he snarled, rising to his feet. "What are you doing here?""I asked you first".He laughs. It's bitter. "You dare to bargain with a vampire lord?""Didn't know vampire lords have a knack for entering people's rooms without permission"."We do not need permission", he snarls. He's a pretty vampire, with a fine face, and a strong build. "Well, you need

“I’d rather be Ruarc’s seventh wife than go back to my pack as a human”.The nerve of this man. First he let that dumb vampire king bite me, now he wants me to leave after I’ve agreed to stay.“You did not just say that”, Sia growled, eyes dark. That dump purple dot is back.“Yes Crinka. You did not just say that. Would you rather go back to your pack as a vampire?”, Massa asks as he plops down on his bed, legs crossed. I don’t even know why he’s still here. Sia and I are having a couple conversation and even though we’re in his bedroom, a little privacy would be appreciated.“Of course not”, I growl, glaring at him. “I don’t want to be a blood sucker.”“Well that’s a bummer. I’m sure you would have looked badass with red eyes. It would totally fit your hair”.“But Hanos didn’t have red eyes Massa”.“That’s because he’s wearing contact lens. And add king the next time you’re referring to my uncle. The walls have ears you now”.“And does have eyes”, I retort. “Not contact lens”.“A vam

I wake up to the sweet aroma of food. Rising from where I lay on the dusty ground, I move toward the direction of the scent. And that's when I see Massa. I rub my eyes again, not believing my eyes, but he is here, in my cell with me, and he brought food. "You didn't show up for two days", I accuse him, scratching my skin. Massa smiled, showing off his pearly whites. "I was going to make it five days", he says with a laugh. "What do you have there?" "Food. It's yours". He hands me the polythene bag. I open it, taking out the plate of food inside. I sit on the ground, devouring the food. I finish it with joy, chugging down the bottle of water he got me. "Thank you". "You should thank Sia. He's the one who made it". I resist the urge to puke. "If you had told me he made that, I wouldn't have eaten it". "So you prefer to starve? Crinka, you can't stay mad at him forever". "I can. I have every right to be mad at him. He's the reason I'm here. You were there when he said all th
