MIAWhat an incredible night.I mean, I had fantasies about Grey. Lots of them. But, holy cow. That was. I couldn’t even dream that if I tried. The feel of his skin on mine was absolute heaven. I’ve never wanted a man so much in my life. When we got home, we didn’t stop either. I’m actually a bit sore this morning.I wake up to the sun barely making itself known. I can’t believe I’m up this early, but I need to use the washroom.Grey has me in his usual death grip. I look behind me and he’s snoring. It’s absolutely adorable. I wiggle myself out carefully and find my sweats. I pad across the floor, silently opening the door and slipping out.The dorm is silent. Everyone sleeping off whatever they did last night. It was crazy. I was having a blast meeting so many people until that Mindy person showed up, but in the end, I have to thank her. If it wasn’t for her intrusion, me and Grey wouldn’t have taking things as far as we did.I know I wanted to wait and get to know Grey, but last nig

MIAI’m a ghost.A shell.I once had purpose. A vision. A life. I have nothing now. My life is worthless without Grey. Honestly, at this point, I might as well clone myself and rid myself of this misery.I pick at my dinner as I contemplate ending my life. I wonder if Grey is back at the unit. Does he even think about me? Does he even know what he’s done to me?“Phoenix. Eat. We don’t need you weak.” Sage says from beside me.“I’m not hungry.” I mumble.“Phoenix. Don’t be sad. You know this is the best for you and your people.” Sage holds my hand.I take it away. “It doesn’t feel like it.” I stand. “I’ll be in my room.”I leave the table and head upstairs. I enter my room and find my phone. I turn on the Playlist Grey made for me and go out to the balcony. I listen to the music as I look out over the city. I look at the pool. This is all I’m good for. Keeping water powered. My mother had love. Her mother before her. Why do I have to do it alone?I leave my room, head downstairs and wa

CELINEI’m pacing back and forth. Twisting my fingers together. This has to happen for Mia’s sake.“Celine.”I turn to a girl with short, red hair. “You’re still in form.”She looks down at herself. “I kind of like it. I might stay like this for a while.”“Well, it’s definitely better than the lion head.” I smirk.“What do you want, Celine?” She places her hand on her hip.I fold my arms. “You know what I want.”“I told you…” She shakes her head.“Yes, I know. It’s dangerous.” I flop my hands to my sides. “But, Fate, 2000 years of this. I’m tired.”She squints her eyes. “You took an oath, Celine. You’re the bird of protection."I turn and place a hand on my head. “Ugh. I know what I said…” I turn back. “But, you said you and the others would fix it and make it permanent so I wouldn’t have to keep guarding him. You never did.”“Celine. It’s not that simple. There’s nothing we can do.” Fate steps closer with her hand out.“NO!” My voice echoed across the pool. My eyes well and a tear sl

MIA“Grey….”I feel light. Like I’m floating. I feel warm, but I know I’m not. I feel…..dead.“Wake up, Mia"That voice. It sounds familiar.“Mia, wake up. There’s not much time.”It’s pulling on me. Shaking me into reality. It wants me to wake up, but I’m so peaceful just floating.“WAKE UP!”I jolt and try to breathe, but I can’t.I’m under water.I look for the surface and swim up and breach it, gasping for air.I wildly look around and I’m in a lake. The lake. I look for the shore.Once I find it and tilt my head. Kimi is standing on the shore with her hands clasped in front of her.I swim toward the shore and start to walk up the shallows to the pebble beach.“Kimi? What?” I say as I wring out my shirt.“Hello, Mia. A lot’s happening right now." She smiles.“Why am I here?” I step up to her.“You have a choice to make, Phoenix.” She waves me to the log.I follow her and sit down, wringing out my hair. “What choice could I possibly have?” I scowl at her.She looks at me. “To recon

MIA“So Mia, how does it feel to be mated to Grey finally?” Sarah smiled, rubbing her ever growing baby bump. Again, I eye it because now I can’t give that to Grey.“Doesn’t really seem real yet. It’s just feels like a dream right now.” I smile.Anna bounced her crossed leg. “Are you ready to be Luna?”“No.” My brows shot up. “I’m so not ready. I spent my life being ordered around. I don’t think I could do the ordering.Anna laughed. “Mia, we don’t order people around.”“Well, maybe the Alphas.” Sarah chuckles.“We don’t order them. We push them in the right direction.” Sammy giggles.“Yeah, our direction.” Anna scoffs. This gets chuckles all around.“Seriously, Mia. Lunas don’t order. We take opinions and make decisions based on what we think is right. Just like the Alphas do.” Anna says.“Except for that one.” Sarah scowls. We all turn our heads. Everyone groans. I look at the woman with curiosity. “Who’s she?”Anna sighs. “Eve Jacobs. The princess of Caledon. Her brother was River’
