MIA

“Grey….”

I feel light. Like I’m floating. I feel warm, but I know I’m not. I feel…..dead.

“Wake up, Mia"

That voice. It sounds familiar.

“Mia, wake up. There’s not much time.”

It’s pulling on me. Shaking me into reality. It wants me to wake up, but I’m so peaceful just floating.

I jolt and try to breathe, but I can’t.

I look for the surface and swim up and breach it, gasping for air.

Once I find it and tilt my head. Kimi is standing on the shore with her hands clasped in front of her.

I swim toward the shore and start to walk up the shallows to the pebble beach.
