P A S T T I M E In the beginning, it was still hard to convince Delilah into the relationship but she eventually gave up her façade and let Mr Vincent know she actually liked him. Saying that she only liked him was not the whole thing at all. She loved him. She never realized when that happened but her admiration towards him, her eyes always searching for him, and a smile coming to her face whenever his name was mentioned—were all the symptoms that she felt for him. It wasn't hard for a woman to fall in love with him, after all. Who knew how many women he used and tossed away? Many of them considered him to be a god and some loved him desperately enough to even die for him. What was so special about him? Nobody knew. Maybe, we all succumb to toxicity, letting it break our hearts, who knows except God alone? Surely he was handsome, enigmatic, hot, and intelligent but with a heart of stone, women still chased him like a moth to a flame, an ant to jaggery. He knew what he had was p

P A S T T I M E Her heart broke that night. She loved him, she trusted him and much more yet he wasn't faithful to her. He said he would leave everything but she realized he couldn't even wait properly and turned his back on their promise like it never existed. Finding another woman in his bed burned her heart. That was the same bed on which they watched movies, fought mischievously, laid beside each other in calmness and he turned it into a spot to lay other women than her and defile their promise and mock their relationship like that. Her presence earned their attention and they both looked in her direction. The woman frowned at her while his deadly expression was replaced by shock as he looked at her. She stood there, her hand trembling behind the door frame as she looked at them. Without her knowledge, tears burned her eyes and she stepped back, swallowing the ache that squeezed her throat. She left the door like that and moved to leave. She realized at the same moment that

The same day they got married. Delilah, in her white dress, went downstairs as told by him. It was a simple v-neckline white dress that reached below her knees. Her sleeves reached her mid-forearms. She let her long hair stay open, her escapable locks were pinned back by white pearly clips. The ointment did a great relief to her foot just in a few hours as she could wear red sandals given by him. All in all, she looked simple yet beautiful. She was escorted downstairs by the maidservants while Nathaniel was with the lawyer. As Delilah looked from above, he looked as curt as a rock but upon seeing her, all his blankness was replaced by a mesmerized look as he beheld her. Even if there was nothing special about her dressing style, he couldn't deny the fact it was their wedding and the day was somehow special. She lowered her gaze to the stairs, carefully descending them. As soon as she reached a few more stairs down, he came to receive her. The maids let go. Delilah let him hold

"You shouldn't have said that to Delilah, Grandpa," said Nathaniel, pouring out the dark liquid into the glass in his hand. It twinkled, having scanned by his green eyes. Behind him was his grandfather who was seated on a couch, leaning against the headboard. He only stared at a photo frame set before his eyes, leaning on a stick beside a dictionary. The glass was near, the picture behind it smiling at him. It was his little Nathaniel and him, standing beside each other and looking at the camera. The young boy's pink lips were curled into a small and innocent smile. His bright and big emerald eyes shine, slightly curtained by his raven bangs that kissed his forehead. His grandfather had put an arm over his shoulders as he hugged him by his side and smiled at the camera, too. It was an old memory. The time before they both died. "Well, it's too late now," he grumbled a reply, watching his grandson as he prepared another glass. Standing behind the table, he arranged the glass in f

A few days passed and everything went normal between the couple. But was it really so? Delilah and Nathaniel kept their distance. For Delilah, it wasn't creating a problem. For her, he was a man who controlled his desires and kept her wishes above his needs. He respected her decision and gave her place but she didn't know that the days that passed in a soft blur for her weren't without trouble by Nathaniel's side. Indeed he was a man who knew how to control himself but what about the doubts that filled his head and the insecure thoughts for Delilah and their relationship? Delilah was his need. He couldn't let her go. After what and how was held and happened in his life, he knew life couldn't be possible without Delilah because she was his obsession, too. The very breath he took, he took it by the realization that Delilah was in his arms and Delilah was under his watch. The warmth that traveled through his system, the blood flowing through his veins, and the beats of his heart wer
