Chapter 31

CELINE'S POV“Hudson?” I ask in shock with Harley still in my arms. His eyes are piercing out and he is gawking at me very perplexed. He finally takes his eyes away from me and looks at Harley in my arms.“Oh jeez! Jane, what’s wrong, what happened!?” He questions as he quickly owns the back door. I swiftly push Harley inside and place her on the back chair. Her hands fold behind her as I try to lay her perfectly on the chair.Hudson quickly goes to the other end of the car and helps arrange her on the chair. “Please let’s go tk the hospital, there is not time to wasted.” I hastily say with tears still gushing out from my eyes. There is a only one wish i have right now, and that’s Harley shouldn’t die because of my silly mistake of wanting hel her and heal her. “Yes yes, I think there is a hospital nearby the vicinity” he says and quickly entered the drivers slot. He bounced on the chair and slammed the door very hard. I am with Harley at the back and making sure she stays with me. I

Chapter 33

ATLAS' POV“Are you surprised?” I ask with a smile as I drag my hand behind me and hold him from poking my eyes out with his knife. There is this shock in his face as he sees my hand wrapping his and stopping by him from perpetuating the revenge he has in mind.“How … the fuck …” he mutters in surprise. I chike and quickly stand oo from the chair abruptly. The state of shock and befuddlement on his face is priceless. I yank him closer to me and smash his face with a punch. His men pull out their guns and pour it at me. I grab him on his suit and press is body on mine for shield. “Don’t shoot, don’t fucking shoot!l he roars and shakes his head frantically. He is breathing heavily and his heart beating so fast. Swear pours from his face and I can feel his whole body shaking. “Drop the guns on the floor now!” I growl. They hesitate and still point it at me. They stare at Brody and guess they are waiting for his own instructions. “Don’t ducking wasting my time assholes!“ I flare at the

Chapter 34

CELINE’S POV“Doctor, how is she? Is she okay? Please just tell me she is not going to die. Please. Please, Harley can’t die.” I whisper and grab the doctor's coat. Hudson comes behind me and grabs me to calm me down after the words of the doctor.“No, she’s not dead actually.” He says and I immediately halt with my aggression. My eyes become more stable and my heart beat though still razz, calms down.“She’s fine? You mean she’s okay!?” I whimper as a broad smile slowly paced it way to my face. My heart is feeling so joyous right now. I just can’t imagine Harley dying this way without a fight. Fortunately, she didn’t give up within it a fight. “Yeah, she is fine. Her healing is beyond something I have seen before though. The bullet did bleed her heart as it brushed on it before hitting other vital organs. But then I don’t know IF she is Miraculously still alive. That is a mystery I can’t explain.” He says. You and I know what he is talking about. He is oblivious of what I did to sa

Chapter 34

CELINE’S POV“Yes, I am Jane.” I say and stand up from the bed. I stare at them very confused. My eyes lurk from one to the other.“Please, is there anything wrong?”Hudson quickly chips in and stands closer to me. “There is nothing really wrong. We just want to have a word with her.” The brown-bearded policeman says and flicks his gaze at Hudson.“She was at the scene of the attack so it’s just a casual question to get full information about what happened for us to be able to get the culprit.” He explains further and nods his head. “Okay.” Hudson nods and smiles at me. He turns to me and nods. I guess he is trying to make me seem safe with them. I think he is very gentlemanly though. “So ma’am, can I ask you a few questions about your relationship with the victim, Miss Harley Rolands?” He asks. “Sure. But before we do that, can we please move outside. I don’t really appreciate us doing that here. I don’t want to disrupt her rest.” I bawl. I don’t feel comfortable having such a di

Chapter 35

CELINE'S POVYou have always wanted me and since I have always refused you, you decided that you are going to kill my Harley. This is so pathetic and frustrating that you want to kill the one person that lived and cared about you since you came to this city. How cruel can humans be? So disgusting!” Kyle spits and tries coming closer to me but the police hold him back. Truly I don’t understand what is going on here. “Are you serious? Aren’t you the bastard who has always wanted me despite I am the friend of your girlfriend you perv.” I fire back at him. “I think I have heard enough” officer Dudley says and stands in. He pulls a pack of cigarettes out from his side pocket and pulls out one stick which he places in between his lips. He lights it and puffs out the smoke. “I think but love the turn this has taken. I guess you are The victim’s boyfriend, are you not!?“ he asks and turns into the lying bastard. I tighten my fist and glare at him. I wish I could just grab him on his throa

He came with me right from the hospital and he has been trying to console me. Unknown to him thag j am not broken but rather I am worried about what Kyle must’ve planning if maybe he is the one behind the attack.“I’m fine Hudson. Kk matter what happens, I am going to make sure you don't stay here for long” he promises. A smile limps to my face and I stare at him. Our eyes lock together. He slowly starved his right hand and it fell on my left hand. I look downwards at his hand which

Chapter 37

CELINE’S POV“Can you just fucking just stop with the whole suspense thing!” I rushed at him. He chuckled and placed his hand on the bar. “Come close” he whispers gently and brings his head closer to the bar cell. For sure you know I am not going to love because I don’t take order from him. “Are you sure you really want to hear what I have to say? If yes,. Yo Better draw nearer and what it is and my reason why I lied against you as you say. Don’t make me change my mind” he threatens. I remain reluctant and stare at him from the spot I have being standing at since he came. “Okay then, I take it that you refuse to come closer to me. you are no longer interested to know why I lied against you at the hospital. I guess it’s best I just leave then.” He say and Pills his had away from the bar cell and moves backwards to leave. He drops the cookies he bought for me on the floor. He takes a strong gaze at me before he turns to leave.“Wait!” I spit with a broken voice. As Lucia s I don’t e

Chapter 38

CELINE’S POV“You have only one choice and that is to accept my offer” Kyle's words stick in my head even till now. Kyle has left for like an hour but still I can’t stop thinking about all he said to me when he was here. As much as I seemed very tough with him, I am very worried. I am not worried about myself because there is no way I am yielding to his option of becoming his. I am only worried about Harley who is in a coma and can’t defend herself. What if he tries to kill her. I sprout up from the bench and start pacing the tiny shallow room. Kyle is a very rugged and vicious person from his behavioral pattern, I have grasped that about him. For sure he is going to do what he has said he would and I Will do mine too. I just wish the police can see through his lies. The son of a bitch has a nice plan but I promise him that there is no way at all he is winning. I scratch the back of my hair Stand beside the wall. I am feeling really hungry right now. I have been starving of real m

I don't know what made me to think he is the one“Officer Dudley” I say in Shock and narrow my eyes to try and examine if truly I have got it right , but Yes it is officer Dudley. I really do not understand what just happened here. I raise my hand to my head and swipe my hair to the side. This surely makes no sense and at the same time is perplexing. I don't understand How I see Atlas in officer Dudley. It seems stranI'm all ramification. “Why did you call me Atlas, I thought you said that is the name of your boss, or am I now your boss without knowing?” He chuckles and proceeds more close to the Bar. I close my eyes and skim them open to be sure that I am not seeing wrongly. Yeah, truly it is officer Dudley. But then how is this even possible and what is the cause of it? why would I refer to Dudley as Atlas? I sigh heavily with my eyes cruising“I am sorry ab

Chapter 40

CELINE’S pov“Sit” he spits and presses me to the chair that is facing another chair. I Sit down and lay my cuffed hands on the table which is just in front of me. He walks to the other end and sits facing me. “As you can see, we are Both alone and I really wish that we have a transparent conversation just the both of us” he coos and reclines backward, resting his back on the back of the chair. “Okay” I sigh and flip my eyes. I gulp down saliva and lick my lips after which I lace him a pale stare. He places his hand on the chair and gawks directly into my eyes as though wanting to bring both something from them. not etahe redrafting for the lost of his life or His kissing rib. You all Surely know I won't be intimidated by that. I leave my Eyes directly at him, also peering into his gaping globes. His face is aged and wrinkled with some dark spot on his slightly pale skin. “Are we just going to keep staring at each other or did you bring me here for something else?”I bash at him and
