DAELYN’S POV: I woke up on a really soft bed, but what am I doing here? The last thing I remember was passing out in front of the university and that warehouse.. Has someone helped me or else was I taken here. I squirmed as I woke up. I saw someone resting their head on the bed who I presumed to be the owner of this house. I think I moved too much, he woke up. “You’re up. Are you feeling alright?” He asked as I nodded. He took my hand in his and I flinched. “Y-Yes. T-Thank yo-you for asking.” I mentally slapped myself for stuttering like that but his pheromones are really thick and musky. He's definitely an alpha, He leaned in closer and I scooted back until I hit the bed frame. “You are not a kitten are you.” He chuckled, what's up with that sarcastic question. “As you can see I’m still a human.” I glared at him and I realised that I was arguing with someone who I met for the very first time. “Anyway who are you and what were you doing in that warehouse baby.” He asked but I do

Daelyn woke up extra happy that day, it was her birthday. She checked her phone and saw that Jordyn and Leona texted her at midnight wishing her and expressed their sadness at not being able to celebrate with her. She turned around looking for her boyfriend. But he was nowhere to be seen. This has been going on for the last two weeks, he always leaves early and comes home late. Daelyn couldn't deny her disappointment. She did her morning routine and made herself some breakfast and left the house. She walked her way to the university. She was exchanging her books when she was harshly shoved into the wall behind her. She collapsed because of the impact. She looked up to see her biggest bully Livana Lee, no one dared to oppose her because she was next in line for the Chairman of Ihde corporations. She was quite a powerful and richest woman and was also rumoured to be Alastair's fiance, So no one wanted to be on her bad side. She touched her bruised arm, tearing up as it hurt. "Aw, look.

Alastair's POVI almost freaked out on hearing that he wanted to speak to me. At the same time I was tense, he massacred an entire mafia team. Daelyn wouldn't have been a problem but instead of killing her, he ended up saving her instead. I clutched the steering wheel hard. So, this is how it feels to have someone you want to protect by your side. I broke into a wide grin and all the tension was ignored. "Ew. What's that on your face? It looks disgusting." Melany, who was sitting in the passenger seat said. I seriously forgot about her. "It is something you'll never feel." I smirked as she made a face at me."Whatever, what do you think he wants to speak to you about?" She said as she looked out the window, staring at those board signals on our way."I don't know but we're going to find out. We're here." I said as I drove into our hideout's driveway. We parked the car and headed inside. The red carpet was splayed out on the floor. Julian and Heather picked the interiors for our hide

DAELYN’S POV; “I’m the black swan.” He said and we gasped. “W-What?” I asked, stumbling back in shock. “What the hell do you mean?” Natalya growled as she got closer to him. “I mean my name is Hei Schwan, my name means black swan. I’m not the assassin Black swan.” He snickered and I hit him hard with the books in my hand. If he pulls a dumb trick like this again, I’m murdering him. “I’m sorry, You were just so cute. I couldn’t help it.” He said and I pouted. Natalya called someone and was talking on the phone. Leona was directing a full-on glare to Schwan. “Dae, Vincent is coming to pick you up this evening. I and Leona have some work to do.” She smiled and I mumbled an ’okay’ to her. I and Leona were on our way to the classes while Natalya left with Schwann. I think Natalya is starting to suspect him or something. But I don’t get why, I mean it’s just a joke he pulled on us. If I tell Al about this, he’ll be off for his head. I sighed when did my life become this way. I ran my

DAELYN’S POV It was Leona’s birthday next week and I was still yet to decide on the present. I pouted and gripped the pillow harder. It should be easy since I am her best friend but there’s hardly anything that she doesn’t have. I took a look around the house and I still don’t understand what’s happening here. Why is everyone here and not in their hideout doing their things? I spotted Natalya and Ms.Darville at the dining table and by the looks of it, they’re arguing again. Ms.Darville is the chairwoman of H&W University. I heard she took over it when she was 25 and she’s very cool. Natalya is our senior at the university and she is also an assassin for the Exodus club. Julian and Vincent have been sitting across from me on the couch and they were reviewing something. Miss Melany was instructing someone and the layout of Alastair’s mansion lay sprawled over the table. It’s been almost half a day like this but I have no idea what’s going on here. “What in the world are you up to?”
