DAELYN’S POV:

“Because..” She trailed off and I leaned in, interested.

“ENOUGH.” I heard Alastair’s voice booming throughout the hallway.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you.” The woman apologised and I looked away, disappointed. I admit I was a little interested in that issue, I’ll ask Al later someday.

Al mouthed a ‘go in’ to me and I nodded as I entered the house closing the door behind me. I sighed as I made my way into the living room. I opened my snacks and arranged them on the glass table in front of the couch. I sat down on the couch as I started the movie and waited for Al to join me. After quite some time he joined me, he loosened his tie as he sat beside me. I snuggled closer to him as he wrapped his arm around my waist, his grip around my waist tightened and I giggled as I kissed his cheek. I rested my head on his shoulder as the movie played.

As the end titles began to scroll, I wiped my eyes and sniffled. The ending was quite sad, the movie was about a detective who
