The Alpha's Hybrid のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 11 - チャプター 20

Third person "Where do you think she came from?" asked the first pack warrior—a tall, red-haired man standing over Phoenix's unconscious body. Rain dripped from his armor as he nudged her with his boot. She didn't stir. "I don't know. I don't care," bellowed a larger warrior, his face twisted with contempt. "Get her to the dungeons. The Alpha will make her talk." He spat on the ground beside her. He had a special hatred for rogues—had lost his brother to one years ago. This one would pay for that, he thought, grinning devilishly. The others grunted in approval. They grabbed her by the arms and dragged her across the muddy ground, her limp body leaving a trail in the dirt. Her fiery red fur was matted with rain and mud. She looked pitiful—weak, broken, defeated. They threw her into a cold, damp cell. The iron bars clanged shut. Water dripped from the ceiling, pooling on the stone floor. Phoenix lay motionless, her breathing shallow, her body trembling with cold. --- Meanwhile, A

Phoenix A thought rushed through my tired mind. I looked back up at Arizona. "What's today's date?" She had said I'd been unconscious for two weeks. Had Caleb been looking for me? Had the Alpha come to the restaurant already? Did everything go well? She told me the date. I shrieked. That was almost a year from when Caleb called me. Arizona said she found me two weeks ago. Where was I all those months before she found me? Had I been missing for a year? Just what happened? I started to cry again, mumbling incoherently. Arizona moved to me, engulfing me in her arms, hushing me as I collapsed on the floor, weeping profusely. I cried and cried until the tears in my tear ducts dried up. I just sat there, sniffing and staring into space. The door opened and closed behind me. Someone else walked in. A glass of water was pressed into my cold, trembling hands. I looked up to see silver eyes staring back at me with vigor and pity. She smiled and motioned for me to drink. I took a sip

'Phoenix Silverware clanked as I walked about, feeling finally peaceful. It had been a week since I started staying with the girls, and I must say, it had been wonderful. I tried to stay on my feet—despite Alex's numerous warnings against stressing out. I stopped abruptly when a pang of dejectedness shot through me. I missed Mom. Desperately. I wanted to hold her, care for her, tell her I was okay. My heart was a little at ease knowing Caleb would take absolute care of her, but the guilt still gnawed at me. There were times when I just wanted to rush back—but deep down, I knew I wasn't safe until I understood what had really happened. I had to remember those missing months. Was I kidnapped? Did I run away? Who had done this to me? I had to find out before I could go back. --- I was in the kitchen making turkey sandwiches and fries for lunch. I was bored out of my mind, so I decided to cook. The familiar motions soothed me—chopping, frying, seasoning. It reminded me of Caleb's

Jackson I marched out of the meeting, royally pissed. The elders had given me an ultimatum: find my mate, mate with Fiona, or step down as Alpha. A month to decide. A single month to either find the woman I'd been searching for over a year or lose everything I'd worked for. Truth be told, I knew where they were coming from. An Alpha needed his Luna. A pack needed stability. But I only wanted Phoenix—and I'd tried everything to find her. I, alongside her friend Caleb, had searched everywhere. We'd scoured the surrounding forests, followed every lead, questioned every pack within a hundred-mile radius. Nothing. Not a single clue. Not even a whisper of where she might have gone. I couldn't go from pack to pack looking for her—it would spark war. Other Alphas would see it as a threat, an excuse to assess their defenses. I'd think the same if I were in their position. So instead, I buried myself in work, desperate for any lead, any sign, anything that could bring her back. But the da

Phoenix I woke up this morning, eager and anxious. We were going to find a person named Moira who supposedly would have answers to why I'd just defied a five-thousand-year-old hexed book and was still alive. What a day this would be. I dragged myself off my warm bed and stepped into the bathroom. I stripped off my nightclothes and turned on the shower. I wasn't in the mood for a bath—a shower would do. After washing my body and hair, I dressed quickly and headed to the kitchen to brew some coffee. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast. By the time I was through with my third cup, the girls stepped down, all dressed and ready to go. "Did you have all those cups of coffee?" Arizona said, looking at me with disbelief. I nodded. She squirmed, shaking her head. She always hated coffee. "You should be drunk by now, you know," she said. "You don't get drunk on coffee, Arizona. Everyone knows that." "Well, if you do, don't say I didn't warn you," she said, rolling her eyes. Before we c
