Briar sat up, rubbing her eyes, pissed at herself for falling asleep. She had no idea how long she has been in that room, but she was getting tired of being there. “Is anyone there? I am hungry and I have to pee!” She screamed. With no answer, Briar stood up, careful of her chains, and started slamming her foot on one of the walls. “You can't keep ignoring me! I am a human, with rights! Ahhhhh!” She screamed. Slumping back to the floor, Bri rested her head on the wall behind her. When she closed her eyes, a scene flashed in her mind of a beautiful wolf with golden fur running through a clearing, with a big, black and red colored wolf hot on her tail. The golden wolf was fast, trails of fire streaked behind it. Halfway across the clearing, the golden wolf skid to a stop, the fire surrounding her, a barrier against threats. It was meant to stop the other wolf from advancing on her, but as the black and red wolf got closer, the fire around the gold wolf started to die down, finally t

“Does he really believe he can corrupt the Light Bringer? If he thinks that he is sorely mistaken. I haven’t felt power like hers since the last time she was awake. Why now? She is almost ready to emerge as it is, he’s insane.” Misha argued. “Misha, all you have to do is smile, have a little compassion, and pretend to be someone she can open up and talk to. Yes, she is Kitsune, but first and foremost, Briar is a girl. Girl’s talk, don’t they? There are things A needs to know to further his hold on Kitsune, and I’m not the talking type.” Troy barked. “Why did you offer me up for this, Troy? I hate that rat for what she did to our mother.” Misha growled at him. “Let it go, sister. It is a new Era, and she was weak, Misha. Kitsune gave our mother the chance to walk away, but she stood her ground and that’s where she fell. Our father should have been the one to take Kitsune on, not our mother.” Troy said. “I was right there. I saw how it was. Mom said no to Kitsune once, and the bitch

Hot on Dove’s heels, Artemis intended on getting to the bottom of his brother’s attitude problem and his father’s secrets. “Dove, stop!” Stryxx’s voice surfaced. “We need to talk. Will you hear me?” “Of coarse. I always have time for our little sisterly talks.” Dove rolled his eyes. As soon as Dove turned, Stryxx, fully released, knocked him to the ground with Stryxx’s huge wolf paw pinning him there. “Let me up. You don’t want what’s on my B side, trust me, brother.” Dove growled, shaking in rage. “You will calm down so we can speak like civilized men. We are not monsters, brother.” Stryxx shouted. “Maybe not, but we’re are little better than animals. We lie, cheat, wage wars, and force our own wolves to fight their brothers and sisters for what? Power? The biggest, baddest Wolfpack? It’s criminal what we put ourselves through.” Dove went completely still and Stryxx pulled him to his feet. “I never knew you felt this way. Rei has rubbed off on you, in a good way.” Stryxx smiled,

After the train wreck of a morning, Briar was sure that she would remain by herself the rest of the day, so it surprised her when she heard footsteps. “Am I going to get punished for my flippant tongue, or worse?” she whispered to herself. When she saw the door being pushed slowly open, she thought she was done for, but it was Troy! He poked his head into the room. “Can I come in?” He asked, a strange look on his face. “What are you doing here? I didn’t expect I would have any visitors after this morning.” Briar admitted. “I’m here on official A business. It turns out he enjoys violin music, so…Ta-Da!” he went fully into the room. A violin slung across his shoulder, sheet music and books in his arms, and a bag slung over his other shoulder. “No way! He did this for me?” Briar squealed. The way his heart sped up just by seeing her face light up, caught him off guard. “Not so fast,” he joked, “the only way you get this stuff is if you explain this all to me. I must have spent 2 ho

Dove got into Rei’s Jeep and took off in the direction of the Row. He had felt Kitsune there. If he were to get close enough to her location, he could pick up her static and it would lead him straight for her location. 25 minutes after he left the KingBears, he arrived in the outskirts of the Ro.. He needed a place to park where no one would recognize his ride, and walk in. When he saw a house with just enough foliage to hide him, he parked 3 blocks away and made for that house. Making it without anyone catching him, he just sat there, listening, watching, and waiting to see what he need to. Around 3 am he saw what he was waiting for. 3 wolves walking together discussing something of great importance. Dove decided its now or never and jumped out of the Jeep and sprinted a few blocks ahead of them so he could cut them off and ask his questions. “He’s never going to let that girl go, not till she emerges. Then he plans on either keeping her for himself or he’s going to let Troy have h
