22. IRIS POV I slowly stirred awake, my eyes fluttering open adjusting to the soft light flittering through curtains. I blinked a few times trying to figure out where I was. This wasn't the room I had been staying in for days now. This room was a little more different from mine, unlike the vibrant colours and warm tone of my own room, the bed was adorned with smooth, grey silk sheets, giving an air of elegance to the room. 24. IRIS'S POV "No, that wouldn't work." I muttered to myself as I crossed off another idea from the mental note I was making. Another idea came and I scribbled it down. " What if I…." Without even thinking properly about it, it already sounded ridiculous and I discarded it too. It was hopeless. Utterly hopeless. 26. DAMON'S POV The drive to my aunt's place is torturous and dare I say long, but I would do it over again in a heartbeat. The lush trees that rushed by and the evergreen scenery always got to me. I didn't think that was the only thing I loved about the journey. It was the darkness that seemed to lurk deeper in the forest, behind the facade of the gentility the green woods seem to portray. 30. IRIS The inside of the jet screamed top class, it was sleek and as I slipped into one of the seats, I felt so comfortable. I could literally sleep in it. Damon slipped in beside me and offered me a brief smile before fastening his seat belt. I was so engrossed in this environment that when the jet started its ascent, my eyes widened and I gripped the sides of my seat.
