31. DAMON. "C'mon, I know you want to pull this tiny little dress off me and fuck me. Stop acting like a gentleman and take me." All of my defense fell flat when she said those words. My eyes had fleeted over to her behind. Her lower buttock nearly popped out of the dress and that was all it took for me to scoop her in my arms. The closest room to us was down the hall. She was smiling now, her eyes brighter than ever. Her arms tightened around my neck and she brought her head to my chest, using the tip of her teeth to pull the third button open. 33. DAMON. She was bold. Fucking bold. I had to give her that. I had been at the meeting, shamelessly watching her from my phone since I had access to the security cameras around the house. I had watched her go naked to search for a robe in one of my closets and truthfully, it had been hot seeing her wear my robe. But her movements around the house meant something. She has glanced at nearly every camera she came across and I knew that she was aware of the fact that I might be watching her. She was smart. I had to give her that. And when she'd dismantled in front of the guards, I had lost my shit, losing total focus and zoning out entirely from the meeting. I had postponed the meeting till later and left immediately. On my way back, she was swimming naked and seemingly enjoying herself. I was tethering on the edge of infuriation and enjoying watching her swim naked. But she was doing it in front of my guards! 35. IRIS. Today, I learned that aftercare mattered after having rough sex. 37. IRIS. No. Not a second wave of hangover in a day. I woke up with a groan, for starters. Then when I tried to sit up, a wave of dizziness and slight nausea hit me. I must have been telepathically communicated with that there was a glass of water beside me because when I stretched it out, I hit the brim of a cup and my eyes blinked open. The first thing I noticed as I grabbed the cup and pill bottle was that it was already dark. And when I finally gulped the pill and water down, I noticed that I was back in my room. How the hell had that happened? Had I been dreaming about flying on a private jet to an unknown Island with Damon? Sighing, I placed the cup back on the bed stand and went deep into thought. The memories came back moments later; climbing into a boat, making Damon hand the bottle of pinot noir and drowning myself in it. That was how I had gotten drunk. He might have said something about us returning to this place today.

39. IRIS. For a split second, everything seemed unreal as I watched these strange people morph into werewolves and the next, I was letting out a blood curling scream that had my throat aching. I couldn’t make out their faces, but I could swear I saw them as humans. Instincts pushed me backwards and I staggered, hitting my back against a tree as I tried to remind myself that this was nothing but a simulation. I was just catching my breath when my eyes landed on three pairs of irises, all in different shades. They had been the ones I had seen morphing. "Uh-oh," I muttered under my breath as I watched the creatures approach me menacingly. From where I stood, frozen, I could hear their snarls and low growls. Their breathing was audible enough and their limbs splashed through the river demarcating me from them as they approached me. I couldn't move. I was in too much shock. My brain was still struggling to register the very strange creatures I had seen s
