41. IRIS. I woke up with a jumpstart. My body was at alert and I was having severe palpitations. It just had to be a dream. I leaned back against the bed and placed a hand on my head as I sighed in resigned relief. It felt so real. So so real. A lucid dream? It had to be. In that dream, I had been running for my life after I had seen a way to finally escape Damon and his rather annoying mother. It felt like redemption. 43. IRIS. My feet sank into wet humus as I ran through a dark forest. Twigs snapped and leaves slapped my body as I kept running for my life. I had seen three beasts transform before me. And they'd seen me before I could hide and as expected, began to pursue after me, running with great speed.
