The Devil's Bride のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

Grateful. She is grateful that her mate gave her this opportunity, she enjoyed working as it made her feel responsible and somehow independent even though wren knew very well that she's far away from being that.Wren stretched her limbs as she finished another list. She looked at her mate to find him focused on his work."What's wrong?" asked Zanthus still focused on his task."Nothing your majesty, i just finished this list." she smiled proud of her work."Good job kitten, you can rest if you want." he suggested "What about you Alpha King." She asked nervously "I'm busy." he responded shortly making her sigh in frustration, "We have been working for quite a long period of time Alpha, please rest." she insisted "Am a lycan wren, we don't get tired." he explained "But you're also a human being!" she exclaimed making him shake his head, " At least let's eat something i'm hungry." she added giving him the puppy eyes."You know that i don't like repeating myself don't you?" he warned

Zanthus held his mate's hand kissing it.Healers scurried towards their king's wing in order to check on their Luna, mother Eleanor sat next to her on the bed while King Zavier sat on a chair in the far end of the room.Healers gasped at the sight, as her body and face turned a shade near blue, they immediately checked her pulse and it was too faint yet still there, they could hear it going down yet still there. Cold and scared that's what she felt whenever she gained back her consciousness."You're majesty, we can not do anything.. Her body couldn't handle all the changes your mark made her go through and she won't be able to bear the mating process tonight we suggest to wait and see.""Leave." he ordered sternly to which they kneeled and left. His mother looked at the little girl sadly, she's too young and her fragile body couldn't handle the marking."Everyone." growled Zanthus.Eleanor looked at him hesitantly "I won't leave her." she responded."She's my mate i will take good car

"What did you just say?" He asked not because he didn't hear her but the fact that she was bold enough to say such a thing surprised him."What you heard.... your majesty." she whispered now her voice small as the reality of what she said and is saying hit her like a mountain. His hand immediately found her cheeks cupping them painfully he growled fiercely, that's when she knew nothing will save her this time from the monster sitting right next to her, she flinched, tears gathering in her eyes as the intensity of the situation sent fear into her."Y..your majesty." she whimpered through the tears, her voice muffled by his painful hand holding her face into place."Remind me who are you talking to?" he asked calm and composed which added to her fear."I beg your forgiveness, it just slipped." she apologized in fear as tears gathered in her eyes from the fear of what's awaiting her."Do you think apologizing will save every time?" he spoke calmly trying not to show her a glimpse of his

"So what did you ladies talk about?" asked a curious Zanthus trying to find out what made his little mate run to his embrace willingly, all while changing into his night attire.Sitting on the bed with a book in her hand, Julia and her mate left long ago, Zanthus finished his work, joined her for dinner then decided to take a bath which resulted to her helping him bath in order to not let any mistress in."She told me about her life with that abuser." she informed not looking up from her book."And...?" he urged her to spill more.Putting the book on the black velvet covers, she sighed."That man is no good, can you imagine he turned her into a vampire against her will, not to mention many other things..." she spoke thoughtful, anger appearing on her angel like face."To be honest, hearing her story i now know that i'm blessed." she added looking at her mate."Oh are you?" he teased."Of course i am, you give me rights and even after more than three moons you didn't ask me to fulfill

Her heart started beating fast, even though she haven't done anything wrong but her mate is indeed such an unpredictable man.Wren didn't want to make a scene in front of her friends that if she can call them ones, therefore she slowly stood up, taking cautious steps towards the Alpha King.Taking her little soft hand in his, Zanthus guided his mate towards their wing."What happened?" she whispered in fear of the unknown."Take a seat and tell me everything about your childhood." he spoke firmly not leaving any room for discussion. In fact they didn't know much about each other, the primal bond is what made them forget about that part of their relationship and focus on anything else."Why now?" she asked curious "Wren baby i don't have time for this, today i ask you answer, we'll see to your questions in the near future." she nodded not ready to argue with him especially that she is sure he would immediately consider it as an act of disobedience and her poor body won't bear that an
