KEILAH"One, two, three..."I put all my strength into hauling Enzo up in my bed. It wasn't an easy task at all. He was a 170-pound Alpha with pure muscle, while I basically had noodles for arms and non-existent lower body strength.I sighed in relief when I was finally able to pull him to my bed. "Oof," I exclaimed when he suddenly pulled me toward him, causing me to plop down his chest. He wrapped me in a warm hug, enclosing his arms around my torso. "Keilah...Keilah," he continued muttering under his breath. I would normally enjoy having him call my name, especially since we haven't been in each other's presence for more than two weeks, but with his iron grip around my body, I couldn't really breathe properly. "Wait," I said, placing my hands on his chest and using my entire strength to place a gap in between the two of us. He clicked his tongue. "Why are you pushing me away?" he asked, his voice still slurred. "Don't you love me anymore?"I shook my head and let out a sigh.

Ever since we established just being "friends," the little innocent kisses we shared have halted and dialed down to mere hugs. I'm not going to lie and say I don't miss them. Because frankly, I do. I was hit by his scent moments later—Matthew's unique scent of mint and lavender was there, a bit overbearing on the nose. And I knew that it wouldn't take long before my pheromones were released to mingle with his scent. I sat up from my bed and covered my body with the blanket—in hopes of hiding the redness of my body as well as masking my overly-sweet scent. "How are you feeling?" I asked in a wary voice. "Are you really in your rut?" He closed his eyes and nodded his head as if he was in pain. "It came earlier than expected," he said, biting his lip. I kept my eyes on his lips as I asked him the ne

KEILAHTwo more days have passed since Enzo and I argued, and Miles has been pestering me non-stop ever since.I can’t say that I enjoy having him near, but he’s doing a good job of distracting me from my feelings for Enzo. He’s also been acting stranger since the two of us talked in the garden. I bared my weaknesses and cried on his shoulder, which I’m starting to regret since he has become clingier after the said incident. Moreover, he's also begun acting weirder...almost sweeter and kinder? But I don't want to dwell on it anymore since I already have a lot on my mind. Another person who has been acting strange for the past two days is Skye. Every time she comes to my room, she smells like Matthew. And I know that they are quite close, but his scent is too strong on her that it’s already too unusual. I’ve tried asking her about it, but she evades my questions every time. I think I have a hunch about what’s happening, but I didn’t bring it up. If what I’m thinking is right, th

KEILAH“Please,” I whispered. “Prove to me that you’re a good person. You never wanted any of this, right? You don’t love me. You don’t even like me. You’re not going to be happy if you marry me.”He didn’t respond, so I felt hopeful that he was going to change his mind. “If you do proceed with this,” I said. “I’m going to spend the rest of my life hating you. You're not going to be happy, and neither will I.”“Shit,” he cursed, moving away from me and pacing back and forth. I sighed in relief when he finally moved away from me. “I—I’m sorry,” he said once again. “I just want the throne so fucking bad.”“Do you, really?” I asked. “Do you want the throne, or do you want to please your dad?”“I don’t know,” he muttered under his breath. “I’ve chased the throne for so long and competed with Enzo since we were children that I don’t know what I even want anymore.”“I think it’s time you start thinking for yourself and not about what other people think of you,” I softly said. “I know,”

"Why are you so quiet?" she asked, chuckling. I gulped and placed my hand on the dip of her hips. However, she slapped my hand and shook her head. "You're not allowed to touch me," she said. "What?" I asked. "How are we going to do this, then?"She smiled and leaned closer to my lips, not quite touching yet so close. I wanted to lean toward her and just ravish her lips right then and there, but something was telling me that she was not going to like that. So I wallowed in torture with the close proximity we had. "I'm going to do all the work," she said, finally placing a kiss on my lips. However, it was too quick that it didn't satiate my hunger.I looked into her eyes and took a sharp intake of breath. She looks like my Keilah, and she definitely sounds like my Keilah, but I had some trouble
