Lahat ng Kabanata ng Desire and Danger; A Billionaire's Game of Lust and Power: Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

Lila was already on her way to see her parents, spend time with them. Her dad was late, and her mom had already remarried to Fred while she was away with her brother in the city. She had decided to go by road with the thought that the long trip could calm her down after the recent events. Everything had happened so quickly. As the driver made his way back to New York, her mom wasn't aware she was coming home. She gently placed her head on the window of the passenger's seat and slowly drifted into a calm sleep. Without any harmful thought, she slept off as they drove through various cities.Unknown to her, Doyle had planned something else, and this time it wasn't even known to her assistant Gabriel. It was already past 09:00 when tragedy struck. It wasn't until a black sedan overtook the car that a black van appeared right behind them and hit the vehicle. Lila woke up with a shock, her head dashing slightly against the window to give it a crack."What's going on, Who are these people",

The driver was confused. He knew he had to run for his life. This has been a plan between him and Doyle; she has used him. All she did was give him a big tip, and he agreed to share their location. She insisted it was Alexander's order to make sure Lila was safe.Immediately after Lila's head was covered and taken away into the black van, he abandoned the car and fled. Doyle had asked the men to kill him to cover her tracks, but he sensed it and ran for his life, but he was already in the mix. Meanwhile, Lila was regaining consciousness. Things were beginning to make sense to Lila as she recovered from the coma she was in after the shock of the accident that led to her abduction. As her eyes began to open under the black veil covering her head, she could feel a throbbing pain in her temples. The realization of her abduction slowly dawned on her, along with the memories of the accident that had led to this terrifying ordeal. Panic surged through her veins, but she fought to keep it a

As he sat there thinking, he slowly drifted into his thoughts. As he remembers he on night affair he once had with Doyle.**FLASHBACK**"Hi, I am Doyle and I was asked to see you by the receptionist about the opening for a persona assistant". She smiled as she extends her hand for a handshake with Alexander. It was winter time and the snow was heavy, revealing Alexander sipping his coffee and watching the show cover cars parked around the streets. It was a skyscraper with 60 floors in the middle of New York. He loved Americano…Alexander returned the smile and shook Doyle's hand warmly. "Nice to meet you, Doyle. Please, have a seat," he gestured towards the plush chairs in his office. The panoramic view of the snow-covered cityscape from his window provided a picturesque backdrop for their conversation. As Doyle settled into her seat, Alexander began the interview. "So, Doyle, tell me a bit about yourself. What experiences do you have as a personal assistant?"Doyle straightened up an

The day of reckoning had arrived.Bill Stevens had moved at dawn, not by accident, but by precise, predatory design. He had chosen the hour the way a surgeon chooses an incision point, deliberately and without sentiment. The early morning news cycle was the cruelest stage in the theatre of public destruction because it gave the victim no time to prepare. No time to brief their lawyers, rehearse their statements, or rally their allies before the tide of public opinion had already turned and hardened against them like cement.By the time Alexander's phone woke him at 6:04 a.m. with the first of what would become a cascade of calls, the story was already everywhere. The headline was the kind that careers and empires do not survive easily. It ran across the front page of three major newspapers and the home screens of every major digital news outlet simultaneously, with the synchronized precision of a campaign that had been coordinated well in advance. Someone had spent money on this. Someo

The guest suite that Alexander had arranged for Lila was on the fourteenth floor of a private residence building on the Upper West Side, one of three properties he maintained across the city under subsidiary company names, properties whose connection to him required several layers of corporate documentation to establish and which were therefore, for all practical purposes, invisible to anyone without the resources to look deeply enough. He had moved her there after the car crash. After the hospital. After the doctor's stern, unambiguous instruction that she needed rest and calm and distance from every source of stress that could be identified and removed. He had held her hand in that hospital corridor under the fluorescent lights that made everyone look slightly less alive than they actually were, and he had said I need to know you're somewhere safe, somewhere I've chosen, somewhere I can control, and she had looked at him for a long moment with those dark eyes that always saw more th
