Calm And Ruthless; The CEO Diamond のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 31 - チャプター 40

Diamond's Pov It was already late into the night when I woke up, Ricardo wasn't next to me which was so strange, so I decided to go look for him. The whole house was quiet so I thought everybody was asleep. I saw no sign of Ricardo or anyone downstairs, not the maid or any member of the family. My breath seized when I saw Rocky coming out from the kitchen, he had something with him which he quickly hid from me as he thrust it into the pocket of his pants. "Diamond, I wasn't expecting you to be awake," Rocky said with a leery smile. I and Rocky haven't crossed paths for some time, but I still remembered what Valerie told me. "Yeah," I said and wanted to move forward, but he blocked my path and I moved back out of fear. Rocky gave me a confused look but then started laughing. Now, it was my turn to be confused. "Did Valerie tell you to avoid me? Let me guess, don't tell your secret to Rocky, he is going to use it to torment you." He laughed again while I cleared my throat, I wondere

Diamond's Pov My hand keep shaking, even though nothing is happening, I'm on the ride with Ricardo to the company and I can't help my anxiety. He has told me severely, trying to calm my nerves down by kissing me but nothing is working. This is my first time going to manage something big, O'Brien is so much different from Xander, so big and wide, I don't want to make any mistakes on my first day, especially after hearing how many people were against Ricardo's decision His aunty was strongly against it because she used to run it before her scandal and she had to be removed. And old man O'Brien doesn't seem to trust me, even though he put Ricardo in charge. "If you keep doing this, I will cancel the ride and take us back home" "You won't dare" I quickly snapped and he raised his eyebrows, looking at me with excitement. "Didn't know my wife is that sharp?" He says and pulls me in for a kiss on the forehead. "I won't dare, but you need to calm" "Aren't you scared? What if I don't do

Rocky's Pov This morning was so boring, Ricardo and that bitch had left for work, and Edna went out with friends after mom throw tantrums this morning, threatening to harm herself if Grandpa allowed Diamond to handle O'Brien's Design, and as expected Mom was all mouth. She can't bring herself to harm herself in any way, all she can do is take her tempers on people weaker than her, especially our maids and decide to lock herself inside her room to protest, but it won't change anything. Grandpa would be a fool to trust her to handle any business after the stunts she pulled before she was fired, even though she can be annoying, I have to check up on her and perform my duties as her son. I made my way to her room and was about to pull the doorknob to enter but I heard yelling at someone on the phone. "If you want to continue living, keep your eyes on her. They must not find out about your involvement" "I know and I will take care of it," She says and ends the call. Her conversation w

Xander Mansion Billy sat down on his dining chair, having his breakfast while his driver Liam stood beside him. Fiona and Claudia weren't present. From the way he chewed his streak, it was obvious he was enjoying himself, no more drama today. Not untill one of his men quickly came inside while he stared at him with annoyance. He wants no disturbance, not from anyone. "What is it?" Liam asked the man so he can leave before his boss get pissed. "Sir, I just received some news. Miss Diamond was involved in a car accident and it is quite fatal" "What?" Liam snapped which made Billy suspicious, he had to keep his cool no matter what, but not when something happened to his little girl. "Is everything ok, Liam?" Billy asked while he cleared his throat and faced him with a fake smile. "Everything is ok, it seems like we don't have to get our hands dirty after all" Liam uttered while Billy nodded and chuckled, he dismissed the other men and continued with his meal. "I want you to find o

Ricardo's Pov: It had been two days since Diamond and Valerie's accident and surgery, and none of them had awake or shown any signs. And it keeps getting to me, I'm trying to be strong but sometimes my thoughts get the better of me, if they don't wake up, if none of them ever smile or look at me again, I won't be able to go on. The door opens and Darion enters with a food tray and a file next in his second hand. "How are you holding up?" he asked and dropped the tray in front of me, there were chairs and tables for visitors to sit on at the VIP wards. "Not well, there is no progress so far" I answered looking at the two while he sighed. "I know you aren't in the best mood, but you should eat. You haven't eaten for two days" he reminds me but I couldn't care less, food is the least on my mind, I couldn't protect the ones I love, and I deserve nothing more than punishment. He took another deep breath, giving in. He took a seat inside and brought out the document he was holding. "I d
