Chapter 41
Leah "What is taking Mum so long?" Claire asked me for the fifth time in three hours and I am starting to worry, I have tried calling Liv countless times but it's not going through. "I don't know," I said shaking my head and She clenched her stomach pouting. "I'm so hungry, Can I eat some of those?" Claire asked me pointing at the basket I brought and I nodded wondering why I didn't think of that in the first place. "Yes darling," I said smiling at her and she immediately grabbed the basket and started munching on a cupcake, I had gotten it from a nice bakery everyone was talking about on social media. She moaned closing her eyes and my mouth watered I wanted to try some too. "Where is Olivia?" A frail voice asked and I snapped my head in the direction only to see Olivia's mum staring back at me. "Oh! She went to get food for Claire, She will be back soon ma'am" I said standing up to meet her. "Mia" Olivia's mum suddenly said. "Pardon?" I asked confused looking back at Claire

Nathan I woke up to the loud ring of my phone and I groaned in annoyance, I decided to ignore but the loud ringing continued. I snatched my phone only to see it was my mum face-timing me, I haven't spoken to her in days now since I booked her on an expensive cruise with her close friends and acquaintances. She had been so excited that she left her boutique in Miami to join repeatedly praising me and telling me I was a good son but I only did it for Olivia so she could have a lot of free time with her mother and I am not bothered about my dad, I knew he will not be back anytime soon. The last time I heard from him he was in one of his elaborate log cabins in Las Vegas, I wondered how they both survived all these years, I guess they have both come to a mutual understanding. I stared back at my mum running my hands over my tousled hair. "My baby!" she shouted grinning at me widely, She was laying down on a towel with a bathing suit on and a large hat on her head, and t

I look around for Olivia but she is not here, My heart skips a beat, I'm so worried about her. What is going on? Where are you Liv? I whispered in frustration. "Leah, how are you dear?" I heard her mom say looking straight at me. I didn't notice her wake up. I was so deep in my thoughts, I don't know what to do now. Claire has been asking about Liv since yesterday. "Good Morning, Mia, How are you doing today?" I said trying hard to smile. "I am doing great and how are you feeling?" I added still looking around like Liv was hiding somewhere in the room. "Where's Liv?" She asked wondering what I was doing here alone. That left me confused and I instantly knew that Olivia is not here, She probably didn't come back yesterday. Nathan is right, I can't tell Liv's mum that her daughter is missing. "She's....she's at the mansion" I replied stammerin

Olivia I groan lightly trying to move but my body felt weak and I could not move, my head was not helping matters it is killing me. I tried to open my eyes but my eyelids were heavy and I was very confused. I could hear voices and they sounded like it was in the distance but one seemed familiar and the other voice had a deep baritone to it. What was happening I thought? I tried to say something but nothing came out, my throat was so dry and I can do anything for a glass of water right now, I wondered how long I had been asleep. "I have paid them off," A male voice said and I was confused again, this person sounds nothing like Nathan. What the fuck is happening? What is going on? Where am I? "Good, They have done their job anyways," A familiar female voice said and I tried to remember who it was but I couldn't all I knew was, I knew this person from somewhere. Nathan I parked my car at the company's parking lot. I opened the door and stepped out. I walked into the company with Michael behind me. I must have looked pathetic wearing this casual wear to the company cos of the expression on my worker's faces but I didn't care. "Sir I..." George said running towards me breathing heavily and looking at me with a confused expression on his face. "Get me Leo immediately" I ordered cutting him off and entering the elevator. Michael ran after me before the elevator door closed. "Chill bro, I'm here. Remember"? He said making me roll my eyes. I can't chill, Olivia is missing. I have to find her as soon as possible. We walked down the hall and into my office in silence. My Secretary tried to follow me but I motioned for her to sit down. Micheal sat in my chair while I pace around the room thinking of a new clue on how to find Olivia. I did not notice when Leo and George walked into my office. "Good to see you

Olivia I felt something dripping down my face repeatedly, I frown my face in annoyance but that only made it worse as I hissed in pain. I did not open my eyes or struggle, I have done that a million times already but it was fruitless. I have screamed for what felt like days for someone to help me but no one came, I guess I am the only one in here cos Claudia and Connor never came back. I felt so much hatred towards both of them that I'm sure it will reek all over me like perfume. My stomach grumbled in hunger and I couldn't help but wince it was like the worms in my stomach were having a feast. I could do anything for a slice of bread and a cup of water for my sore throat at this moment. I wonder what my mum was doing, if she was fine and has been asking for me, or if Leah is helping me look after her? Are Nathan and Leah both looking for me? Or do they both think I ran away? Or do they think I am dead? A lone tear slid down my cheek in sadness, anger, and frust

Leah “No, She's safe now, Claire is at home,” I said to Amanda as I walked to the window looking out. “No Amanda, you don't have to come” I replied after she volunteered to catch the next flight to come to see how Olivia is doing. I called her when Olivia went missing, I thought she was tired of everything and wanted a break from life and decided to take a vacation or something without telling anybody but I guess I was wrong, She will not run away from everything after her mum just went through a major surgery. she is such a strong woman. I looked over at Liv to see her breathing slowly and bandage all over her body as the nurse checked the drip and adjusted her covers gently. I held back tears as I closed my eyes and open it again. She doesn't deserve this. “Are you there? Does Mia know about this?” Amanda asked snapping me out of my thoughts. “Mia does not know everything and I would like to keep it that way” I replied running my hands over my hair. “Can we talk later?” I sai

Olivia "Put that down," I said to Claire who was playing with a butter knife on the counter. She was just so bent on injuring herself. It's been a week now and I am as good as new except for my aching arm and a few terrible nightmares. I can say I am back to normal. I have visited my mum twice this week and I spent the whole day convincing her that I had a mini accident. It scares me a little, the fact that she didn't look like she was getting any better but the doctor assured me that she would be fine. "A candy for your thoughts" I suddenly hear Claire say behind me and I place my uninjured hand on my chest. She startled me. It took me seconds to process what she said and I burst into laughter when I saw her holding out a candy as she stood in front of me smiling. "Okay then, I was thinking about how beautiful you look in this yellow dress, I am so jealous," I said pouting as I popped the candy into my mouth. "Hello ladies" I heard Nathan's voice before I s

Nathan It's been two weeks since Olivia's Mother died. Olivia cried for days and I felt bad for her, her mother was all she had. Her mother left her a note that Olivia had refused to open and a golden necklace that had a heart pendant on it. I had seen the necklace on her mother's neck a couple of times and I'm guessing her mother wanted her to have it, It must be very special to her. Olivia's hand is always on that necklace as if it connects her to her dead mother. I loved her and wanted her to be happy so seeing her locked up in her room hurts. Leah had been supportive, she had tried to cheer her up. Olivia seemed a bit lively today, so I took the opportunity to take her out. The place was her favorite bakery in the middle of the city. We had our snacks and it was time to go home. She held on to me as we walked out of the busy bakery. We kissed and I opened the car door for her as I hopped on the driver's side. We didn't say a word to each other till we got to the man

Chapter 50
Olivia I ran after Mr White who punched the wall repeatedly as he walked down the stairs angrily muttering words under his breath. I followed him quietly not knowing what to say or how to comfort a man that just found out that his only child isn't his but his best friend's. He went to his bar and took a bottle of whiskey and a glass cup. He stood for a whole minute looking at the bottle then suddenly smashed the glass cup on the floor. I gasped in fear moving back. He opened the bottle and gulped forcefully. I wondered if he hadn't noticed me or if he was probably ignoring me. He loosened his tie and then headed out the back door towards the garden. He sat down on a bench drinking from the whiskey bottle before screaming and hitting his chest repeatedly. I ran over to him kneeling in front of him and holding his clenched fist in an attempt to calm him. "It's okay Mr White, Everything is going to be fine," I said looking up at him smiling and patting his hand gently. "How could
