A Baby For Her Ex Alpha のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 81 - チャプター 90

Katherine’s POVThe area was too quiet.I could hear every step and the ruffle of winds.I was wide awake- unable to sleep after last night of course- staring at the ceiling. I felt pleasantly numb after all the violence and bloodshed of yesterday.I even miss the noise I used to grumble waking up to every morning of the young ones practicing their sword fight techniques in front of Hope's yard. Everyone was still shocked by the suddenness of the attack, preferring to be at peace with themselves.A knock on the front door got me jumping, all startled because I was lost in thought.I was still in my nightwear so I grabbed a long ratty t-shirt of Caleb's that I stole when he came over, the fabric well worn from constant usage. I loved it even more because of that and it made me feel good to have a part of Caleb with me always.I was surprised to see Emma, one of Hope's secretaries- I'm at a loss as to what I can call her- from the Academy at my door. Before I could ask her what she was

Caleb’s POVI can't remember how many times I listened to Katherine's voicemail the day after I found it.I felt helpless on several accounts. One, I couldn't leave to go check Katherine out at Serenity because there's a fat chance they won't let me in, and because she wouldn't be there anymore. Two, it's been over four days and her phone battery would have died, if it hadn't already…knowing Katherine, she would want to stay away from the densely populated towns as they would draw more attention than the wild.Three, we're nowhere closer to finding Shadow or Roy!After hearing what Shadow did and the hurt spilling out from Katherine's tone, I felt more motivated to track him down and flay his skin from his bones…while he's still alive.Everything wasn't adding up and it made me feel uneasy, especially when it came to Daniel. My gut had never failed me before and this time it was screaming louder than before so I gave in and did what I never planned on doing to someone I called a 'frie

Daniel's POVIt's worrisome to see Caleb here. To the next of my knowledge, he avoided this spot like the plague. Moreso, he didn't have a tracker on me so how he found out where I was was troubling. His entire demeanor changed when he came inContrary to what he thought, I knew the exact moment he stepped foot into this building. I've always trained myself to be on alert, especially when you're deep in the enemy's territory.I've been suspecting that something's up because, for the past few days, I would catch him staring at me with an odd look on his face, or sometimes with rage. He always looked away before he thought I would notice.Even right now, his body was primed for violence and the look in his eye threatened to boil me alive and feed me to the dogs."You good?" I asked through my mask, buying time as I thought out my next move. "You look quite tense.""Been thinking a lot." His tone was curt.I was undeterred by his attitude. "About what? Wanna share?"His face instantly b

Katherine’s POV"You're such a big baby!" Tyler crowed, laughing so hard I was surprised he didn't piss his pants."Look who's talking!" I retorted, giving him the stink eye. "You're the same person who cried like a baby when you saw a snake, rushing to come call me.""I did not cry!" He huffs, picking up his pace."You did too!" I sang, taunting him and he just grunted, walking even faster.I snickered at his antics, feeling my chest warm up with this fuzzy feeling. Pushing aside a plant that would hurt me, I called out to him. "Are you sure we're going the right way?""Of course!" He replied indignantly, then stopped raising an eyebrow. "Or do you have a better idea?"I didn't so I wisely kept quiet. The past few weeks with Tyler have been fun, he had that way of twisting every event into something of an adventure, making me laugh my ribs out.I had worried about staying in close quarters with him but he proved to be a gentleman. He stayed as far away as possible, and even when we

Daniel’s POVBarely a week later, Freya and I were sent out with our missions but something didn't just sit quite right with me so I tricked behind Freya.I was so good that she didn't even realize that she was being followed. I made sure to always stay at least 100 meters away and exchanged my boots for shorts with softer soles so she didn't pick up on my movements. If I had known when she was heading before it was too late, I could have warned her but I had only realized when she crossed the border to Caleb's territory.I had to hide and slink into the treesYears of watching and studying Caleb made me find easy toots where I could watch him or what was going on in his city.I had jumped atop a huge branch of a tree, after testing it to make sure it could hold my weight. It gave me a first-hand view inside.Caleb and Katherine were rushing out to see Freya who was accosted the moment she stepped foot inside."Kneel!" Caleb barked, his face a stormy cloud of anger.Immediately the gu
