Rejected

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it. I could feel their hatred and disdain, it was as if they were going to gobble me up any time. "Take her away and whip her a hundred times, then throw her into the dungeon." The Alpha's voice came again, making me shiver. When the hell was I going to be from my miserable fate? My mate just rejected me and I was going to be whipped for no reason. Was it my fault that I was mated to him? Or should I blame the moon goddess for mating m

Determined

Evelyn's POV "Bring her out, the Alpha said we should bring her out!" "It's been two days, I'm afraid, she's dead because the injuries from the whip were not treated!" "Who cares, if she's dead, then so be it!" "But...." "No buts, the Alpha asked us to release her!" Voices drifted into my ears as my eyes fluttered open. I knew not how long I had been asleep and I didn't want to know as I knew it was of no use to me. "Argh!" I groaned softly as pain raked through my body the moment I tried to get to my stand. It was as if my body had become one with the floor. "Sir, she's alive!" A surprised voice drifted into my ears. "Who cares, bring her out at this moment!" Another voice sneered. Hearing the voices, I couldn't help but shudder as I couldn't imagine what the Alpha wanted to do with me this time. Before I could say anything, the door opened and one of the guards walked in and Yanked me to my feet. At this moment, it was as if my bones had been broken and then were force

Escaping

Evelyn's POV In no time many hours passed, but because of how dark the dungeon was, there was no way I was going to be able to distinguish between day and night. I could only pray to the Moon goddess to help me out. I knew I would be doomed if I didn't escape tonight. It was the chance I had and I knew I had to use it rather well. Creak! The door of the dungeon opened and a guard walked and dragged me out without saying a word. Just as I had guessed, it was already nighttime. The whole of the pack was in a festive mood. There was light everywhere and kids could be seen running around. "Go join the maids over there and help prepare for the festival." The guard said, throwing me roughly to the floor. I could only groan in pain as I stood up to help the other maids in the distance. Just as I had expected, the others didn't talk to me and even isolated themselves from me, afraid that I was going to cause the Alpha to set sight on them. Sighing, I could only carry out the job assign

Where's She

KYLE'S POV I squinted my brows as I looked amongst the crowd searching for a particular figure. Looking closely I noticed that I couldn't find the figure. No, that shouldn't be happening. I frowned and sat well then looked again closely only to see that the figure I was looking for was missing. "Guards." I frowned calling out to the guards who were by my side. "Yes, Alpha." The guards answered as they rushed over. "Where's that maid?" I frowned. "She should be amongst the crowd serving drinks and food." One of the guards replied. "Bring her out," I commanded. The guards nodded and went into the crowd to look for her. "Sir, we can't find her." The guards bowed, not daring to look into my eyes. Hearing this, a smirk appeared at the corner of my mouth. It was just as I had thought, she had run away when I was least expecting it. Since there was a festival in the pack, she was able to slip away quite easily without anyone noticing. But then she couldn't have gone far. Since she

Escaped

Evelyn's POV "It should be about time," I muttered, breathing heavily. I had been running for the past ten minutes with no signs of seeing the border of the pack At that moment, I couldn't help but think I was going the wrong way. But then that didn't seem to be the case as I could see that the forest was getting denser and denser which meant I was approaching the border. I sighed in relief noticing this. I was going to be out of this place in no time, I just couldn't wait. I had to leave as soon as I could. Also, I wanted to thank the old man who had helped me. Even though I didn't know this particular route, I was sure that it led out of the pack and was sure I wouldn't be captured. For a moment, I wanted to give up as the pain raking through my body was very intense. Since I had been running, the pain showed no signs of reducing and I lay increased with each step I took. I would have long collapsed if not for my strong will. I couldn't help but sigh as I looked around. I knew

Another Trouble

Evelyn's POVAt that moment, my heart began to race and it felt as if my heart was going to burst out of my chest.Even though I wanted to run, I was too weak to do so. Besides, with the injury on my body, there was nothing I was able to do. With the days of starving, I had already used up my energy trying to outrun Alpha Kyle and in men.Now that I had outrun them, I had gotten into another problem. It seems like my luck was terrible."There she is." My voice suddenly sounded before bringing me back to my senses. Before I could do anything, I was surrounded by three blurry-looking men who stared at me with hostility in their eyes."Who are you?" One of the men growled as he walked towards me."I..." I shuttered not knowing what to say.Even though the pressure they gave me was not even half of what I experienced from Alpha Kyle, and I could easily repel it, I was too weak to do anything making me feel rather intimidated."Talk, who the fuck are you?" The other man growled as he glar

Confused

Evelyn's POV I shuddered slightly as I raised my head to look at the figure that had just spoken. "You may leave." The Alpha frowned as he ordered the guard. "Yes sir." The guards nodded and bowed slightly before turning around to leave. At that moment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of helplessness as I looked at the Alpha who was staring at me with a smile on his face. This wasn't what I had imagined was going to happen. All I imagined was the Alpha asking the guards to force me to say where I came from so he could send me back. But there he was looking at me with a smile on his face. The smile on his face looked creepy and I couldn't help but shudder seeing the smile on his face. If not for the fact that I was already paralyzed and the only thing I could barely move was my head, I would have long stood up and run away as I couldn't bear it anymore. "Mind telling me where you are from?" The Alpha's voice suddenly asked, making a jolt of light pass through my body. What I fe

He Wants To See You

Evelyn's POV"Mmmmmm."I muttered as my eyes fluttered open. Looking around, I noticed I was in a strange place and I was lying on something soft and comfortable making me suddenly jump up in reflex as my body felt strangely strong and I was filled with energy."My lady, I think you should be careful, you've not recovered yet." A feminine voice sounded right behind me making me turn sharply.Behind me was a lady about my age dressed rather nicely staring at me with a smile on her face.At that moment, I realized that the pain and weakness in my body had all magically disappeared and now I was wearing nice clothes. My dirty and worn-out thin clothes were nowhere to be found.Looking at my feet, I realized I had been standing on a bed all along. Looking around the big and unfamiliar room, I gradually calmed down trying to remember how I had gotten here. The last thing I could remember was the Alpha carrying me up. What happened after that? Did I blackout? Yeah, that had to be the case a

What Would You Like To Do?

Evelyn's PovPushing aside all the random things on my mind, I walked into the building. I had to accept my fate no matter what it was going to be. Beside,.I believed it wasn't going to be bad."Here you are, Evelyn." Alpha Ethan's voice sounded right behind me immediately I stepped into the living room which made me turn around sharply."Good day my Lord." I forced a smile as I bowed toward the Alpha trying to suppress all my nervousness even though my legs were still shaking."You funny Evelyn, but there's no need for the formalities." Alpha Ethan laughed as I felt his gaze on me."Take a seat." He smiled as he motioned at the sofa right behind me.I nodded meekly as I sat down on the sofa right behind me facing the Alpha. At this moment, it was as if my heart was going to burst out of my chest. It was as if time had suddenly stopped moving which scared the hell out of me."Evelyn, what would you like to do?" Alpha Ethan's voice drifted into my ears breaking the trance I was in."Hu

Everything Was Wrong

Alpha Kyle's POVI paced around the room feeling rather uncomfortable. I was unable to sleep last night as my wolf didn't let me sleep. He had been disturbing me to look for our mate.Rejecting my mate wasn't a good decision as I didn't feel my body again. The pain was more than I had imagined. Even though I had tried to suppress it, I felt I couldn't continue to suppress it.My wolf wasn't taking matters lightly and had been trying to go berserk. I found it hard to keep it at bay as it felt as though he was more powerful than me at the moment. Even though we were both in pain, it felt as though I was the only one carrying all the pain.I was feeling very uncomfortable and I didn't know what to do. I had tried many things to calm him down but he didn't listen to me. If not for my strong will, I was afraid I would have already transformed and gone to look for my mate. But then I despised my mate, I didn't like her even a bit. Her parents were the ones who killed my parents. Even though
