Lahat ng Kabanata ng REVENGE FROM THE ALPHA: Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

“Because Athena is not your mate, dammit!” If Athena is not my mate then what are those sensations that I am experiencing? Blinking, I failed to comprehend the depth of her world- perhaps I didn’t want to. I couldn’t justify my feelings otherwise. She must be wrong.“What…?” I asked again, praying I heard something wrong. It couldn’t be that. But, the sternness on her face indicated it was no lie. “Yes. I haven’t seen your mate yet and even if I would, obviously I am forbidden to tell you but whoever it is- It is not Athena.” I stood still, unable to grasp the depth of her words, hoping to accept it but my heart refused to.“She is.. Not?” I questioned myself. Yeah, my feelings were not how I expected them but that didn’t mean that she… that she is not my mate…“So stop toying with my sister before she develops feelings.” She did… She had accepted me as her lover. As her partner and mate. What should I tell Athena now? What should I do now? “I don’t want her heart to break, Da

“Please, Father, please. Do it for my sake.” I pleaded with my Father, going after him.“Why don’t you get it, my love. You are not his mate and I don’t want to see you getting hurt.” Father whispered, narrowing his eyes in compassion.“I have faith in my feelings, in our love, Father. Darius would never betray me.” I enunciated firmly, willing to do anything for him.“Do you trust him that much?” Father asked suspiciously. He was taken aback at my display of faith.“I do.” I nodded sternly, overflowing with determination.Father stared at my face for a few seconds and sighed deeply, shaking his head.“Fine. I am only doing this for you but if he broke your delicate heart, I might kill him.” He declared and left.Everyone in my family knew that I couldn’t handle heartbreaks. They were worried and I was blind in love.It took me a while and effort but I tried my best to convince my Father and I finally did it.He only needed his approval and I didn’t want his desire of being an Alpha t

PRESENT. ATHENA BECKER. ‘Why did you do that to me, Darius? I was never cruel and look what you made me. Heartless…’ Coming back from the unwanted and horrible memories, leaving it mid-way as I didn’t have the courage to continue and stung my scars more than they already do. “I wish, for once you could tell me- Why? Why did you do this to me?” My jaw clenched as I was staring at the moon, curling my hands in a fist until a deep, dominant resonance called me from behind. “What are you thinking?” Gasping, I turned and saw King Hadrian there with his arms folded at his chest, superior as usual. “My Lord? When did you come?” He raised his eyebrows in amusement and took a step forward, contemplating my features. “I have been standing here for the past fifteen minutes but you were too lost. What were you thinking?” He repeated his question, standing next to me. We were at the edge of the roof, looking at the beautiful land but it no longer soothed me. It was not helping in t

After leaving the main hall, I left to see Jax who was lost in his world and stopped when I came, waving at me.“Hey. Where were you?” He asked casually, going back to his weapon and cleaning them.“King Hadrian stopped me. He was going through one of his ‘moods’.” I muttered.Shaking my head, brushing my hand over my shoulder to remove the sensation of his firm grip on it.“Oo~ Did he do something?” He asked, arching an eyebrow in amusement.“You know the usual, holding me, asking about his mate, losing himself.” I hummed.Stretching my arms, not thinking deeply about it. He would forget it like I would in no time.It never mattered in the first place.“Must be excruciating for the King to be without his Queen.” He said nonchalantly, not thinking about him.“I guess. Thank God we humans don’t have to deal with this mate ordeal.” I sighed and thanked to not having such a bond in life.“If you ask me, it’s beautiful. A soulmate to cherish forever. Unlike us who cheat, who break hearts

ATHENA BECKER.‘Seems like you put this bewitching body to a good use by being the King’s pet.’His unwanted words were echoing in my ears, invoking a sting I never fathomed I could gain anymore. Those words pierced my heart. “Fuck!” Cursing under my breath, I slammed my hand on the pillar.Did he mean those words? Was that to hurt me or his real perspective? No matter what it was, it was painful and it enhanced my cravenness for revenge. I wanted my actions to penetrate his soul, to ravage him. I wanted him to suffer.“Damn you!” Hissing, I curled my hands in a fist, pacing around until footsteps approached and Jax came with an arched eyebrow.“Are you alright….?” He asked vaguely. “Do I look like it?” I snarled with a clenched jaw, my pride was hurt. “I didn’t expect My Lord to come and command that, he went too far to sting your scars.” He sighed at my frustration.“He shouldn’t have done it.” Leaning on the pillar, he gave me a sympathetic smile but we all knew, we abided b
