Gwen and Aurora arrived in the evening with no news about their parents. They found themselves to be lost. Gwen kept on ranting about what might have happened, while Aurora just kept to herself. Aurora and Gwen finally got to the stop where they were hoping to get a carriage. It was already dark, so they prayed they would find one. "We've been here for about five minutes now, I don't think we'll get one." Gwen said. "If we don't then there's no way for us to get back home, unless we decide to walk." Said Aurora. Miss Madeline was knitting a sweater when she heard a knock on her door. She wondered who it could be. She got up and went to open the door. The next day; Miss Madeline sent a letter to Martha informing her that Aurora and Gwen were interested. She figured that she would get a reply by tomorrow. Chapter 18: The palace 1

It took at least fifteen minutes before they got to the gates of the palace. They rode in and Gwen was left in amazement. She had been here once, during the king's coronation but she didn't have time to marvel. She knew that she was only here as a maid but she was excited for some unknown reason.Meanwhile Aurora kept on fidgeting internally in her seat. For some reason unknown, to her she felt like her being here wouldn't turn out good for her. She thought she was just being paranoid because of everything that had happened. When Martha told Gwen that she would be working in the kitchen, she thought it wasn't going to be difficult. But she was completely wrong. To her this part of the palace was the most stressful part she could be in. The amount of food she had to cook and the items she had to get ready overwhelmed her. The fact that she didn't know the palace well added to her misery. The head chef was unbearable and so were her co-workers. They didn't bother in guiding her and she didnt bother asking. With her chin held up high, she struggled to finish her tasks. She wondered how her sister was doing. She probably was not suffering as much as she was. The next day;So apparently, being a personal maid for the royal members includes waking up early to get them prepared for the day. Lisa and I got ready and we headed to Queen mother's chambers.
