Chapter 19: The palace 2

When Martha told Gwen that she would be working in the kitchen, she thought it wasn't going to be difficult. But she was completely wrong. To her this part of the palace was the most stressful part she could be in. The amount of food she had to cook and the items she had to get ready overwhelmed her. The fact that she didn't know the palace well added to her misery.

The head chef was unbearable and so were her co-workers. They didn't bother in guiding her and she didnt bother asking. With her chin held up high, she struggled to finish her tasks. She wondered how her sister was doing. She probably was not suffering as much as she was. She hurried up her steps as she was heading to the kitchen. Dinner would be served soon and she didn't want the head chef to make a fuss.
