Semua Bab Heart of Ice: Bab 21 - Bab 30

João FelipeBut the moments that we could spend the night together in the last month were rare since there was no way to justify these absences without involving several people in our lives, which was something I preferred not to risk at all.Nobody knew about our involvement and I preferred it that way." João Felipe, you have that passionate face that is ridiculous in any self-respecting man," Henrique said. " Don't follow Nicolas's example, who is going to get married and abandon the wonderful single life.”" Are you really going to marry Bruna?” I asked, surprised." Next month " he just said, but he didn't look like a happy man. Just conformed."It's no use trying to get him to change his mind. I've already given up" Henrique continued.Concluded that I would follow his advice. Everyone knows what is best for himself."I won't change my mind," he said resolutely.Faced with his very definitive words, I decided to change the subject and as soon as possible, I would leave. I wasn't

João FelipeWe ended up losing time when we realized it was past nine at night. I was worried about letting Viviane go by taxi, but I couldn't risk being seen together, so I ended up arriving before her and I had the car parked in front of the house, waiting for her arrival. I only entered the mansion after making sure it was already safe inside the gates.I still found my parents drinking coffee in the mansion's living room and sat with them for a while, to talk. João Pedro hadn't arrived yet, but that was nothing new.Back in my room, I was thinking again about the friendship between Viviane and João Pedro. Could it be that there was something between them and with my arrival, I ended up disturbing them? That doubt kept coming back to bother me.I woke up early the next day, as it was the beginning of another work week. I needed a lot of focus since the company's finances were in my hands and I was still trying to sort out the mess left by the former director.I was already having b

Viviane  How could I be best friends with JP and never suspect he was gay when all the signs were there? He always talked to me about girls, but I never saw him with any. He always sought the company of men at the parties we went to together. He disappeared out of nowhere, without really telling me who. There were so many signs and I preferred to be blind to the real JP." Let's get out of here and talk somewhere else, " João Pedro said. I believe he was afraid of my reaction. " I'll be right back, wait for me here, okay? "He asked Jack, before we left, to which he only replied with a nod in an affirmative movement. When we arrived at a cafeteria inside the clinic we were in, we were silent. I believe he didn't even know where to start talking and I just wasn

VIVIANE“The DNA result came out today.”I looked at João Pedro, waiting for the continuation of his information. We were in his room, as he had called me to meet him there. He was showing our favorite series and when I arrived at his bedroom door, he just indicated the bed, so I lay down next to him.So I just sat there, looking at the TV, but not seeing what was on.I was thoughtful. I had decided that the time had come to tell, at least João Pedro, about my situation.I had been very sick in the morning during a college class and I even had to leave the classroom and run to the bathroom to get all my breakfast out.Soon, João Pedro would realize that I wasn't doing well and I didn't want to keep lying and making up stories. I was just waiting for Jack's son's DNA issue to be resolved and it seems that now that would be less of an obstacle to my disclosure. When he didn't say anything else, looking lost in thought, I questioned him." And then?”" It's Jack's son.”" And he already

VivianeAfter João Felipe left the room, JP gave me a strange look and I didn't know what was going on in his head." When do you intend to tell me about your secret meetings with my brother?”I looked at him in astonishment, completely speechless at the way he pinned me against the wall." I saw you entering that hotel together, more than a month ago. I was there too, with Jack.”" And this whole time you never asked me anything?”" I was keeping a part of my life a secret, I had no right to confront you. I was waiting for you to tell me spontaneously, but…”" I was waiting for the right moment to talk to you. But this situation with Jack and the kid…”" I understand. I'm not here to judge you. I just support you as I know you weren't in that clinic that day just by chance. And I also understand that there are a lot of things going on around us. But you can't keep putting other people's problems ahead of yours. For one hour you will have to face them.”"I know," I said sadly, tears a
