Delilah's POV:Katherine, Adeline, and I talked for a bit more until the sky darkened and the moon took over. There was a light knock on the door and then Luke peeked inside. Looking at us, he said shyly, "Sorry, girls, but it's my time now."We grinned like a maniac as he whooped Adeline off the bed and heaved her in his arms. After she was gone, I too excused myself and made my way back to my room.It was past 9 pm but there was no sign of Xee in the mansion. Picking up my phone, I left him a few messages to which he didn't respond.Padding toward the washroom, I closed the door behind me and stripped off my clothes. Standing under the stream of hot water, I let it flow down my body and relaxed a bit.The same thought was going around in my mind and I knew that I had to discuss the matter with Xee. I wanted to do whatever was in my power to help Katherine out of this mess.Turning off the shower, I wrapped a bathrobe around myself and sauntered out of the washroom. The room was eeri

Delilah's POV:After the night of turning and tossing on the bed, I got up at 5 am and went out for a run.Akira had been really upset with me. She was furious and agitated for what I did last night. And now she was getting out of control with rage. For the first time ever, she pushed me to the back and took the reins in her hands. I kept myself at bay and let her have her time to clear her head by sprinting into the woods. She pushed her feet against the ground and increased her speed, "I can't believe that you did that," she linked me.I sighed tiredly, "At least, YOU should try to understand me."She let out a low growl, "What exactly were you thinking? Pushing him away...suggesting him to go and mate with someone else...ridiculous."I tried to speak to her but she wasn't ready for a two-way conversation. She huffed out, "Fang was really angry and upset with whatever you said."There was a silence for a small moment after which she uttered firmly, "I have never tried to overpower y

Delilah's POV:It had been two days since the arrival of Anderson and the scared and worried Katherine was long gone. They stayed together every minute of the day. Literally, they were practically inseparable and the glow on Katherine's face was enough to confirm that she was happy and content.I was glad that Xee decided to invite Anderson here. It was working great in her recovery. Deep down, I wondered if he brought him here so that I wouldn't suspect him or to show me that I didn't need to feel bad about anything as Katherine was quite happy. We have decided to wait for a few days before Ragnor does the spell for the final time and put her wolf to rest forever. Katherine's mental as well as physical state wasn't that strong at the moment to bear the pain and loss.I have been checking up on her every day and trying to channel healing into her as much as possible. And Anderson was taking care of her every moment. More than anyone, he was making sure that she was eating healthy and s

Delilah's POV:Katherine remained silent for a long minute during which my breath was stuck in my lungs. She exchanged a gaze with Anderson and I saw an understanding passing between them.Anderson nodded his head, indicating for her to go on. Did that mean he too knew about it?Looking between me and Xee, Katherine slowly nodded her head, "Of course, I know." She raised her eyebrow, "Why won't I? You do remember that when I came here, my wolf was awake and out of hibernation period, right?"Beside me, Xee asked in a low voice, "So when did you know about it?"Katherine shrugged lightly, "As soon as I woke up after coming here. Aurora recognized you by your scent."Xee exhaled deeply, "I thought you couldn't recognize it because your wolf was weak and fragile."Katherine chuckled softly, "Yes, she is weak but not a fool."A thought nudged at the back of my mind and my eyes widened, "Is that why you were so afraid of Xee after coming here?"Another chuckle escaped her, "Unbelievable, I

Delilah's POV:After a good cry session, I felt relaxed and refreshed. Weird, right? But it seemed like all the burdens, hidden feelings, and unspeakable words were out of me. I felt rejuvenated deep down in my soul.It felt like something had connected inside me. Connected between me and Xee.For once, I could really feel at peace. The fact that fate had brought his fated mate to him and even that couldn't deter him away from his feelings.Cupping my face, Xee placed a gentle kiss on my forehead and murmured, "You are the only one for me."Fresh tears streamed down my face and I hugged him tightly, refusing to ever let him go away from me.Yes, in the past, I had been foolish to push him away or allow any negative thoughts in my mind but not anymore. Things had changed now and I wasn't going to let any misunderstanding come between us from now on.Together, hands in hands, we walked back to the mansion. On the way, I said with a cheerful smile, "I promise to stop acting like a broody
