ANSEL POV“Everything ready?” “Yes, Alpha, Everything is ready. We just have to take over.”Turning my head to the other direction, my eyes landed on the small ship that was already prepared to take us to the other side of the dry land.My pack was surrounded by water at the south and we had to use that side to reach Ramsey's side.My henchmen were now in amours of different colours waiting for my orders to take off.“Are the weapons where they are supposed to be as always?” I asked Amos, who was behind me.“Yes, everything is okay.” Amos assured.“Okay, bring her here.” Turning around, I met his eyes.“Are you sure?”“I hate such a question, Amos.” I warned and he hesitated then bowed his head.“She has helped us.” “I thought you hated her!” I exclaimed while faking a shock.“I-I don't hate her. I hate the fact that she is weak.”“Okay,” I waved for him and he walked away.“Alpha Ansel,” Before I could turn back to my henchmen who were prepared and each one of them had a sword which

Her words made me furious and angry after she uttered them.Who dared do that in my packhouse? Now I could put the ends together. No wonder I went through hell yesterday. So it was because of poison?“How are you feeling now?” I quickly composed myself and asked as I tried to suppress the anger that was boiling in me.I would crush whoever that person was if what Edna was telling me was indeed true.Edna blinked several times as if unable to believe what I had just asked.Did she think me to be that evil that does not even care about her well being?Maybe she did with the fact that I was going to sacrifice her in a war.“Y-you shouldn't worry about me, you should worry about the mole.” She nervously responded and I quickly killed the sad face and replaced it with an emotionless one.“Of course I am not worried about you,” I blurted in a hard and cold voice that travelled around the place causing all the henchmen that were around to turn their attention to us but immediately looked aw

“To all of you that have survived your fates today,” Handing the sword back to its owner, Alpha Ansel brought back the attention of the servants and maids who were now shaking and trembling in his direction.“Be warned or it will be worse than what you have just seen today.” He continued after the pause while glaring at them.By now, two men who were also wearing armour were already at the entrance.Putting his hand in his pocket, Alpha Ansel retrieved a handkerchief and wiped his hands which had some traces of blood of the lifeless body still on the floor.“The two of you, take care of the mess.” He ordered while turning his head to the two henchmen at the door and they quickly walked to where the lifeless body was.Suddenly, we heard a sound ofrunning liquid and I struggled to lift my eyes and look in the direction. I hesitated each time I wanted to look at the lifeless body because I felt like vomiting when I looked at it. My head was also heavy from the sight. But as always, c

ANSEL POVI glared at the girl who was tied in chains sitting like a rained-on cat on the ship's cabin as we advanced with our journey.Tears were competing to get out of her eyes as she shook on the cabin's floor. She was very terrified but I also knew it was all fake. She was good at pretending.Well, I still couldn't believe that this woman here had the audacity to betray me after all the privileges she was getting from me.I should have known that they were all betrayers from the beginning. I had planned her punishment but she had to tell me what I wanted to know first.“Long live Titanic Wave!”“Long live Titanic Wave!” Screams of praises of our Kingdom were heard from the warriors on the upper side of the ship.I was supposed to be there with them and lead them but I wanted to deal with this woman first.“I won't repeat myself!’ I lashed at her while glaring at her to her very soul causing her to whimper in fear.“I-I…”“Do I look like a joke to you?” I wiped the sweat that wa

EDNA POVI was stunned by his actions since he entered the cabin.I never thought a man as strong and as powerful and arrogant as him, could have passed through something like this.I didn't even think he would sit on the floor like a desperate child. Now I could see that it had been a facade he plastered on his face to show the world that he was strong and hard as a stone but in reality, he was in pain.Who would have thought of that?Who would have thought that a man like Alpha Ansel who was rumoured to be cruel, heartless and cold could be going through such a thing? While in reality, the man was hiding excruciating pain and hurt.Looking at him, I could see that he had uncovered his facade and all I could see there was hurt and pain.I never thought he was capable of having such emotions.I turned to him still not believing what he had just told me. But I could see he wasn't lying or faking. He was telling the truth and it seemed the pain of it all had been too much and that was
