Six weeks had passed, and I still hadn’t accepted the painful truth that Elias was gone for good, even though all his family had said their last goodbyes and even held a small private funeral in his honour. I was the only one who didn’t bother attending it, as I refused to believe that the love of my life was gone forever. I buried myself deep into work, as that was the only thing that kept me sane and momentarily made me forget about the constant pain I felt deep inside my heart. Mikel and Tyrell had both tried contacting me a few times in the last few weeks, but I made sure neither one of them came close to me, as I didn’t trust them at all.
