With a quick motion, he slammed it down on the guard’s head with all his strength. A crack sound rang through the entire cell. Prince Ron even winced at the sound, thinking he had hit the guard too hard but instead of crumpling to the ground, the guard straightened slowly, blood trickling from his temple. His hand tightened around the hilt of his sword as he unsheathed, his eyes burning with fury as he turned toward Ron.Prince Ron’s knees began to tremble. Ahhh, he really messed up. He should have waited until Thalindra was released. Ah, what should he do now? But before the guard could strike, they heard a loud clatter of chains.Thalindra had risen. Her eyes glowed and the chains around her whipped forward with terrifying speed. They looped around the guard’s throat, choking him. He thrashed, clawing at the links as his sword clattered to the floor. His eyes bulged and he began to cough, saliva drooling from the sides of his mouth for he couldn't even swallow. Tears streamed do

The naughty one piped up again, his little voice dripping with arrogance as he riled up his siblings. “Listen to me, guys! I was the first one to wake up out of all of us, and I was the first to start speaking—which makes me the oldest! You’re supposed to listen to the oldest, so I urge you to listen to me. Let’s come out and fight! I’ll smash the enemies in no time! I'll protect all of you and protect mummy as well! Believe in me!!!”“Wait, wait, wait!” Prince Ron blurted, quickly clutching his belly, as if he was afraid that they would really burst out. “I’m sure you’re big and strong, but this really isn’t the right time, okay? Just wait for a while. Let’s go to earth, get your daddy back, and then—you can do whatever you want.”There was a pause. Then, in a demanding tone, the baby asked, “Promise?”“I promise! I promise!” Prince Ron swore frantically, nodding so hard he almost made himself dizzy. The baby grumbled, clearly displeased at having his grand plan foiled. The other bab

The second Thalindra mentioned Eron's name, Vathar's head whipped towards Ron so fast one would think his neck was going to crack and behind Ron, he saw Eron, sleeping peacefully on an Enforcer's back. He gasped in shock and his crimson eyes went wet with tears. All the memories they had made together — every moment, every shared breath — came rushing back all at once. It felt as though he had sealed them behind a locked door, chained and buried deep, only for the sight of Eron to shatter it wide open, releasing them in a crashing flood. He pushed himself off Alaric, and pressed a trembling hand against the bleeding wound in his stomach as he staggered toward the love of his life, tears streaming freely down his face. Alaric tried to help him so he wouldn't fall. After all, the wound on his stomach was no simple one but he refused help. No matter the pain, he just wanted to reach Eron. Prince Ron knew this and motioned for Alaric to stop. It was better for Vathar to do this on his o

Ron’s breath caught and a delicious tingle ran down his spine. His entire body trembled, every nerve alight, and for a moment, he couldn’t move, couldn’t even think. His heart was pounding so hard against his ribs it almost hurt, thundering in anticipation and disbelief. Was that really him? It sounded like him. It felt like him. Could it really be…Slowly, he turned and the entire world seemed to stop in that moment. His breath hitched, a soft gasp escaping his parted lips as his shiny green eyes went wide and locked onto the figure before him. There his beloved stood — tall, radiant, and impossibly handsome. His silver hair shimmered like threads of starlight, and those violet eyes, deep and kind, sparkled with love and tenderness.“Zedekiel…” he breathed, his voice barely a whisper, trembling with awe and emotion. His beloved was back. He was really back. His beloved wasn't a tree anymore. His lower lips quivered and his nose soured as more tears filled his eyes. His beloved was

Hearing such sweet words from his beloved, Prince Ron’s grin stretched from ear to ear, his emerald eyes bright with warmth and mischief. His beloved better love him more and more. More than anything or anyone else in the world. Because for him, there was no one else and there would never be anyone else. His beloved owned all of him. He held up the crumpled flower between them, its bruised petals trembling in his open palm. “I believe in you,” he said seriously this time, not a single trace of doubt in his voice.Zedekiel's heart swelled with love and pride for the small, fierce human before him and he felt like there was nothing in the world he couldn't achieve. A soft smile touched his lips as he slipped an arm around Ron’s waist, pulling him close. Then, carefully, he laid his hand over Ron’s, his long, cool fingers wrapping protectively around the smaller one, enclosing the broken flower between their palms. He closed his eyes, drawing in a slow breath. The air around him began
