DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 122~Devon and I rode quietly most of the way back to my house from the spa camp. He held my hand or touched my leg whenever he wasn’t shifting the Porsche’s gears. His touch electrified my skin, as it always did, and I gazed at his elegant hand.I couldn’t seem to get Annie’s situation out of my mind, and I prayed that I wasn’t cursing myself to the same fate. Devon seemed to sense my dark thoughts, and he turned towards me at a stoplight, “Did you not enjoy the retreat?”"Of course I did” I nodded. “It was great.” I didn’t want him to think I was unappreciative of the kind gesture."I missed you terribly.” He rubbed his thumb over my hand and flashed his dazzling, crooked grin at me. If anything could pull me out of a funk, it would have to be that amazing smile.I couldn’t help but smile back at him. “I missed you, too baby.”"Baby, huh? I missed you more.” His competitive streak was starting to emerge."I missed you the most,” I count

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 124~Devin made a quick exit, soon after Kim. He hugged me and said, “Later, Dude” to his twin before jogging down the stairs and letting himself out."So, this is why you shipped me away?” I tossed the question at Devon. He nodded somewhat sheepishly, so I continued, saying, “I guess if you had to keep a secret from me, this was a good one.”"It’s really okay?” Devon seemed a little uncertain if I liked the room."It’s so far beyond anything I could have imagined,” I answered him honestly. “I love it. Aire will feel so safe and loved here.”He pulled me in for a sweet soft kiss, obviously relieved that I was pleased with their efforts. “I was worried that maybe we wouldn’t get it exactly how you would want it. We can still change anything you don’t like,” he offered.I looked around. “I love it all.” The answer was the truth. The nursery was fantastic."I’m so glad.” His answer was filled with obvious relief as he wrapped me in his arms f

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 126~It was already fairly dark, but the cool breeze on my face and the dampness on my skin told me we were very near the lake. The air smelled like the beach, as well. The aroma was difficult to describe the kind of fresh and clean, but with a slight tinge of fish and suntan lotion thrown in. It was a familiar smell that I loved dearly. I wondered briefly if that scent would change to gasoline and asphalt when Devon opened his planned marina pier condo parking lot mecca. The sound of our footsteps echoed on the wooden planks of the brand new boardwalk. I was surprised to see how much progress had been made on it. I had been purposely avoiding the town’s shore for a while so that I didn’t have to face the alterations that Devon’s company was making. The entire lake front could have completely changed over the past few weeks, and I wouldn’t have had any clue. Kim and Devin had stopped mentioning any of the project’s progress to me because t

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 128~Apparently, Devon also invited all his family members because Bernice’s face broke into a huge, genuine smile at the hearing of the engagement.’’Congratulations you both ” She beamed at Devon, and he nodded happily at her. When she turned to me, I was immensely relieved to hear her say, “You are officially part of our family now”I smiled and nodded, in complete agreement with her statement. It was Christian’s booming voice that broke the silence. “So, when is the wedding coming up?”I looked nervously at Devon. We just gt engaged and hadn’t yet settled on a date.Biggie arrived a few minutes later carrying a huge balloon bouquet. The room was boisterous and happy, but I still managed to hear him say to Hailey, “Sorry I called your brother an asshole.”I strained my ears to hear her response. “Well, he can be an asshole sometimes, but I’m the only one who gets to call him one. Deal?”"Deal,” Biggie agreed, and they grinned at each oth

The sun was setting, casting golden rays across the ocean. The moment I stepped out, every eye turned to me, but I only saw him.Devon stood at the altar, looking devastatingly handsome in his tailored tuxedo, his gaze locked onto mine with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine.I barely noticed Christian escorting me down the aisle.
