DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 132~The sun had barely risen when Devon and I found ourselves being whisked away to a private jet, courtesy of Christian and Bernice’s wedding gift. My heart was still fluttering from the sheer excitement of the night before. It felt surreal being married, calling Devon my husband, knowing that we had the rest of our lives ahead of us.Aire had been left in Kim’s loving (and slightly dramatic) care. “Enjoy your honeymoon, lovebirds,” she had told us before we left. “But just so you know, I expect a million pictures and a souvenir that doesn’t scream ‘tourist.’”Now, as the jet soared through the clouds, I nestled into Devon’s side, his arm wrapped protectively around me.“Still in shock?” he murmured, pressing a kiss to my temple.I looked up at him, smiling. “A little. I don’t think it’s hit me yet that we’re officially married.”Devon smirked. “Want me to remind you?” His deep voice sent shivers down my spine.I playfully swatted his ch

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 134~Kim's pov:I curled myself up into the blanket as his heavy footsteps echoed down the hallway, each thud pulling the air from my lungs. The familiar urge to disappear washed over me, as if becoming small enough could make me invisible. If someone asked me what superpower I’d choose, I wouldn’t need to think twice, I'd wish to vanish, to melt into the shadows and hide. The sound of his approach grew louder, each stomp was a cruel countdown. I tugged the thin blanket over me, it was not a real shield but the only shield I've got. I tried hiding before, beneath the bed, in my closet but he always found me. The chase only seemed to fuel his excitement, as if my desperation was just another twisted game. From experience, I knew that his extra excitement manifested itself in even more roughness. On the nights when I attempted to hide, he was particularly brutal. When he eventually discovered my hiding spot, he would forcefully yank me to hi

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 136~Tobi had always been wary of strangers, and to her, a "stranger" was anyone who wasn’t Kim. Even after all these years of living together, Tobi still treated me like an unwelcome guest in my own home. She avoided me as if I were radioactive, slinking away whenever I entered the room. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t give me a bit of an inferiority complex. It wasn’t just me, though. Tobi didn’t like anyone, except Kim and, oddly enough, Devin. From the moment she met him, she’d curled right up to him, purring like he was her long-lost owner. It was ridiculous. But then again, Devin had that effect on females of all species. I’d roll my eyes, but it was absolutely true.I could see why Kim found it impossible not to fall for him. Devin was the whole package, tall, dark, and handsome, with a side of thoughtful, kind, and genuinely funny. He had this dorky charm that only made him more lovable. Kim once called him a teddy bear, but then

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 138~Kim’s face remained stoic, but I could tell her walls were going back up. She’d been letting him in, trusting him, and now he seemed to be telling her not to. Her defense mechanisms were well-honed, and I imagined the harsh self-talk she was giving herself in that moment.Despite the tension, Devin moved closer to her. His finger trailed along her jawline, and I saw the struggle on her face, the desire to lean into his touch and devour him."I don't have a great track record with relationships," he said. "After all, look how I messed things up with Kylie."It always surprised me how much blame he took for our past. While I couldn’t deny my part in the messy love triangle with him and Devon, Devin had never held it against me. Neither had Devon. Their forgiveness and character humbled me.Devin went on, "I truly cared about Kylie, but when things got intense, I freaked out and left. Pushing her into Devon’s arms was my fault."I wanted

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 140~When he leaned down to kiss me, I tried to turn my head to the side. I felt like I needed to escape, but I felt pinned down and trapped. This must be how a swaddled baby feels. The wayward thought emerged in my frantic mind.Devin reached down to hold my hand. To any sane person, it probably would have been an impossibly sweet move. To me, it felt like another restraint locking into place. I tried to tell myself that I could take control of the situation, that all I needed to do was swing us around so that I was on top.I would have the conversation later with Devin about the limitations on what we could do. It wasn't something to bring up in the heat of the moment. I should have raised the topic before we got this far.Needing to be on top and trying to appear casual, I swung my leg over Devin's in an attempt to turn us over. The back of the couch didn’t support me in this maneuver, and I discovered that I couldn't get enough levera
