DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 152~They followed the red-jacketed figure into a trendy coffee house. She slipped behind the counter before smoothly removing her rain slicker, hanging it on a peg, and donning her dark blue barista apron. Her long golden hair was pulled back into a loose bun, but there was no denying her coloring was remarkably similar to Kim's.Devin and Kylie scanned the other faces in the room, hoping to find their friend. Coming up empty, they approached the counter to get a closer look at the young lady they had followed here in hopes of finding some leads."Hi!" She smiled brightly at them in an open and friendly manner. She obviously had no idea that they had followed her here. There was something about her that was incredibly familiar, but Devin couldn't quite put his finger on exactly what it was. Not wanting to stare too long and arouse her suspicion, Devin cleared his throat. "Hi," he finally answered. "Could we get two hot teas, please?""Goo

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 154~Now my sweet, innocent sister was being reminded of the pain that I had caused her. The pain that I seemed to bring along in my wake everywhere I go. Her eyes were wide open as she stared at me. I was so ashamed of myself as she looked at me that I felt like running far away...for good this time. She deserved so much better than what I had given her."Kim?" she finally asked, her voice croaky.I nodded, the unshed tears beginning to overflow. An overwhelming mixture of love, shame and sadness were swirling within me. I wanted to speak. I had so much that I should say to her, but I couldn't find the right words to convey my sorrow and regret. She was looking at me with wide, beautiful eyes. Her face held a mixture of fear and awe like she was gazing upon a monster. A monster is likely exactly how she sees me, and it's what I deserve, I decided. We stood in silence for a long while. Devin shuffled from one foot to the other numerous tim

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 156~Devin growled under his breath at this revelation. I had never before seen this streak of violence in him, and it touched me that it was surfacing out of a sense of protection for me, even though there was no way he or anyone else could save my younger self from the damage that had been done."When he started whipping me with the belt, he was particularly enraged, likely due to my act of rebellion. Usually, he made sure the welts were in places that would be hidden by my clothes, but on that last night, he lost control, striking me anywhere and everywhere."Kylie and Daisy both had wells of tears glistening in their eyes as they listened to me reliving the unspeakable savagery I had faced during my adolescence. All three of them sat in silence, waiting for me to continue with the graphic circumstances surrounding my decision to run away from home. I knew it wasn't anything that any of them wanted to hear, but I was in too deep to stop

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 158 ~Since it was late and we had breakfast plans with Daisy, we decided to find a hotel room nearby. During the walk back to our cars, we stumbled upon a small, quaint inn that looked like an ideal place to spend the night. The crusty gentleman at the front desk barely looked up from his newspaper, actually printed on paper, not the online version, before asking gruffly, "What do you need?"I cleared my throat before responding, "We'd like to see if you have any vacancy for tonight."He looked up at us then, peering through thick, black glasses that made his blue eyes look enormous. "How many rooms?" he asked, studying us and trying to figure out our relationship.I paused before answering. "Two."My response came out at the exact same time as Devin said, "Three."Hearing each other's answers, Devin and I turned to each other. He looked at me for a long moment, then his eyes shifted to Kylie and back to me. Nodding as if gaining comprehe

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 160~"Did you guys get any sleep last night?" Kylie asked incredulously as we met in the hotel lobby before heading to the campus breakfast spot where we were eating with Daisy.I had wondered a couple of times last night how thin the hotel walls were, since Devin and I hadn't been what anyone would consider quiet during our extended, passionate lovemaking. By Kylie's grumpy question, it was clear that they weren't thick enough...not that padded steel walls would have been. We were rather rambunctious, I remembered with a sly grin at Devin."Not much," he answered Kylie sheepishly, before dipping me back and noisily kissing my neck. The grouch at the front desk cleared his throat, clearly not appreciating our antics. I tried to smile at him, but he quickly looked away. He must work all the time, I decided, trying to be kind."Get a room," Kylie rolled her eyes at us. "Oh wait," she added, "you already have one, and it's right next to mine.
