Ensnared by my Possessive Stepbrother. のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

RAYLA I made sure to avoid Mom for the rest of the night and that was only achievable because Jordan kept her busy. Since the rest of the party had been ruined for me, I decided to just join one of the tables occupied by people my age. The dance floor was getting filled up and I had no desire to dance with anyone beside my mate. Recalling our dance in the study room brought a smile to my face. Signalling to the waiter, I grabbed a glass of wine, while looking around for any sign of Damien. I spotted him a few minutes later, sitting by the family table Jordan had preserved for us. Good luck with him trying to make peace between Mom and Damien once they get into it. "Hi..." A chatty voice said next to me. "It's me again." Said Donna, letting herself settle into the space next to me. "Oh? Hi!" I responded, surprised to see her again. "Why aren't you on the dance floor? Let me guess, you've got two left feet as well?" She giggled when I nodded, I felt myself relax at her friendlines

RAYLASince our morning was pretty much open, Fiona suggested we pass time by training at the training court. It wasn’t what I would have usually gone for, so it wasn’t a surprise to them when I dipped, saying I was going to the library instead. I made my way to the art studio instead, the anticipation of seeing Damien again after his possessive display this morning made my heart race. A smile so wide threatened to split my face, I stopped outside the door, taking a deep breath to put my emotions under control.I pushed open the door and went in, pausing yet again as I tried to take in the scene unfolding right in front of me. It seemed to be a sing along party and Damien's absence from the group doesn’t really surprise me.I made my way across the room, making sure I didn’t bump into anyone and disrupt their dancing, it stopped anyway when Hunter spots me. He went over to pause the music and I pressed my lips tightly together, resisting the urge to comment on what I’ve just witnesse

RAYLA After lunch was over, my friends and I made our way towards our next class which also happened to be a new class that was recently added to the school’s curriculum. The rooms being empty when we walked in was a surprise to me, after picking up some notes from the tutor’s table, we took our seats next to each other.’’Okay guys, it looks like there are going to be a few of us taking this class so I want you to take a look at the notes in your hands. It contains all the details of this class, you can call me Miss Rosanne. She introduced, turning away from us to check something on her desk. I looked into my notes, my mind somewhere far away, I couldn’t believe my Mom was still talking to Brandon despite all that happened. An unwanted voice penetrated through my thoughts, causing me to look sideways at the two girls sitting two seats away from me. Perhaps it was Donna’s name popping into their conversation that caught my attention but whatever it was, I was curious despite myself

RAYLA ‘’Go ahead Rayla, I dare you to reject me.’’ His words echoed through my mind as we glared at each other challengingly. I opened my mouth, not sure if I was entirely going to do it or not but Damien never gave me that chance. He grabbed the back of my head to draw me closer and his mouth crashed down on mine sealing whatever I was going to say. As his lips took ownership of mine in a kiss that was anything but punishing- it seemed as though his goal was to wreck me through that kiss- I winced, wrenching my mouth from his when suddenly I felt his lips clamp down on my bottom lips. “Ouch..!” My fingers immediately went to my lip, where I could still feel the sting. In anger, I pushed past him and ran all the way upstairs, knowing he was going to come after me, I made sure to insert the lock before slowly sinking to the ground. Just like I predicted, a knock sounded on the door a few minutes later. I stood up from the floor, walking towards the window instead while hoping that

RAYLA I said good morning to everyone as I came to join them for breakfast the following morning, I pulled out my usual chair and sat down. Each time my gaze wandered in Damien’s direction which was quite often, I would blush and quickly look away as memories of what we did in his room yesterday continued to flash across my mind. ‘’Your Mom told me about you needing a break, Hope you finally got it and you’re feeling better now.’’ I heard Alpha Jordan say, which was enough to pull me out of my daydream. ‘’Are you sick Rayla?’’ Jenna asked innocently after hearing the statement, “hope you’re feeling better now?” her child brain automatically translated it to me beign sick. ‘’No Jenna, that’s not what he meant.’’ And to Alpha Jordan, I smiled at his concern before answering. ‘’I’m feeling a lot better now, thank you.’’ My gaze stayed on Damien who seemed too focused on his meal, it didn't even taste that good. Okay, maybe I was just pissed that he hasn’t looked in my direction sinc
