She looked at him with so many thoughts and emotions running in her mind. She never thought about their relationship. All she ever insisted was that for him to stop this, whatever it is. She never dared to think about a future with him, because she always envisioned his future with Nancy. But now, when he is forcing her to think about him, she realised that she likes him. Somewhere these past days, she started to like him. He is caring and very protective. That must be the reason why she is finding it hard to leave him. Because she knows she would miss him dearly. "You are handsome, who wouldn't like you Xavier? It will be a lie if I tell you that I don't" she confessed softly. That made his heart beat faster and harder. He liked her answer. He leaned in and touched her forehead with his. His day was long and exhausting. He had meetings lined up one after another. As he was not available these past couple of weeks, so many important decisions were stalled. And he had to deal with t

That morning, Nancy looked stressed when she went to receive her parents from the entrance of the main house. Her smile looked forced and even Douglas looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here. 'Sis, this is wrong. Stop this engagement' was his words of request to his sister just before his parents arrived at the Xavier's Bahamas mansion. But Nancy ignored him and forced him to accompany her to receive their parents."Dad, mom, it's so good to see you both" Nancy said with practiced ease.Daisy looked uncomfortable, while Noel was all smiles.Carlos came to receive them on behalf of Xavier. Based on how abruptly Xavier disconnected the call, Carlos understood that Xavier is not going to grace the Thomas family with his presence. So to maintain niceties, Carlos came Instead. He made sure Claire is not around."Nancy, Douglas, this mansion is ready to host my daughter's engagement" Noel announced and laughed boisterously.Nancy smiled, but no one else did. They all stood there as i

"That, we.." Noel tried to come up with a reasonable comeback, but he couldn't find one. What Xavier said is true. Neither Nancy nor her family has a say in Whatever Xavier does in his life, both personal and professional. This is just an arrangement from the beginning. And in return Xavier will pay two hundred million to Noel for his campaign and Nancy will give Xavier an heir after their marriage. "What? Cat caught your tongue?" Xavier taunted Noel, who remained tongue tied.Nancy tried to diffuse the situation as tension started to escalate. If this situation gets out of hand, then she has everything to lose than Xavier."Xavier, dad was upset on my behalf. Please forgive him" Nancy tried to play the role of a peace maker. She approached Xavier and was about to touch his sleeve, but he pulled his arm out of her reach. But she earned a cold glare from Xavier, which made her shut her mouth immediately. "Forgive him? So easily? I am very possessive about Sierra. I hate it if anyone

That evening, Nathan arrived at the Bahamas mansion. This time, Xavier was there to receive him. "Xavier, why do I feel like you are really going to get engaged tomorrow. The decor of this mansion is so dazzling" Nathan commented. Despite being in his late forties, Nathan is fit and looks handsome. Salt and pepper hair kissed his temples, giving him a more matured look than making him look older. Xavier smirked. "Who knows? I might. Or, this might be my way to celebrate New beginnings. Or I am might have planned to bury someone here, underneath my dazzling mansion" he replied mysteriously. That made Nathan laugh out loud. "Gawin would have been proud of you. You are shining so brightly, that you are ruling everyone around you. Including us, mere politicians. You became the king maker" he praised Xavier genuinely. Xavier shook his head with mirth. "You don't need to flatter me Nathan. I still stand by my word" he reminded him. Nathan smiled fondly. "I never doubted that, not e

Xavier was seen sitting in his study along with Nathan, discussing something. "Damn, did I ever tell you that you scared the shit out of me when you are angry?" Nathan said after examining the files which Xavier showed him. Xavier smirked at his comment. "Better don't piss me off from the white House then." he commented. Nathan chuckled. "So you are confirming that I would win?" he inquired, knowing fully well that he would. Xavier nodded with confidence. "Don't you think so?" he asked a question of his own. Nathan looked at the open file in front of him. A shudder ran down his spine. He decided that he never wanted to be on the bad side of Xavier, ever. "I will win. He doesn't have a chance anymore. He will be ruined for life" he agreed. Just then, Xavier received a call from Sierra. It might be the first time she is calling him after exchanging numbers. "Sierra" he answered the call. If it was anyone else who was calling, then he would have ignored it. But he would never
