PAMELA’S POV“I'm sorry but I can't do that, ma’am.” He responded swiftly. My heart ached, knowing that this might be the end of the road for me and I didn't want to quit, not just yet. “Please, I beg you. I'm doing this for something extremely important to my life. Please.” I begged him, still holding onto his coat. I could see the hesitation in his eyes. “I'm still so sorry but I cannot go against the mistress. We have to tell her, maybe she can agree to some sort of solution later.” He offered but I wasn't satisfied with that. I knew it was only a matter of time before Evelyn would kick me off her team and find a better replacement and I couldn't let that happen, not after that had happened. “How much do you want? State your price. I promise I'll give you any amount you ask for just to keep this from her and if it ever comes up in the future, I promise you I won't say a word about you. Please just do this for me.” I had tears at the brim of my eyes because the beautiful life I'

PRISCILLA’S POV“Flowers for me? Who would send that?” I asked in confusion, standing up to join Brent at the door. Truly, there was a delivery man with a bouquet of tulips in his hand and a big beautiful box as well. I stared at the gift and flower in confusion before glancing at him. “Who asked for this to be sent?” I asked him and he shrugged. “I have no idea, my job is to get the package delivered.” He said and I took the bouquet and gift from him in confusion. “Are you sure you want to take that?” Brent asked and I didn't miss the hostility in the way he spoke. “Yes, of course, would you have me send it back to the delivery company?” I responded, signing the papers the delivery man presented me with. “Thank you.” I muttered after signing and the delivery man left, leaving me to wonder who the mysterious person must be. “I think you could've just done that. Send it back to the delivery company, I'll have it paid for to be sent back to the owner, whoever it is.” He said and

SYLVESTER’S POV“Who was that?” Damien asked, puffing the smoke from his cigarette. He turned easily in the chair, spreading the smoke everywhere but I didn't mind. I had something more important to deal with and someone was obnoxiously in my way. “Are you going to spill who it is or just sit there like an old Japanese master? That would look terrible on you, by the way.” He said sarcastically and I sighed. “I wonder how your wife and kids put up with you. You're such a mouthful.” I responded, standing up from my seat. I walked to the window and back to my seat. There was a lot eating me up terribly and the past few days have been nothing but mind wrecking. “Is this why you invited me over? To just sit and listen to your footsteps? Man, I don't have all the time in the world and shouldn't you be busy as well? What's with the whole pacing and silence?” He complained with a groan whilst still smoking. I snorted. “First, you don't have an actual job and you're only lucky to live of

BRENT’S POV“Priscilla, I'm so sorry about my mother. I don't know what came over her, she's been acting differently. Please.” I pleaded desperately. Seeing my mother pounce on her was the toughest thing for me, the two women I love getting into a scuffle was something I'd never imagined to happen. But what was more shocking was the fact that my mother, the highly revered Mrs Kingston, would stoop so low to pounce on the mother of her grandkids. I wanted to believe that she heard something totally horrible or disgusting about Priscilla but regardless of whatever she heard, what could've been her excuse for breaking into my home and fighting my woman. Priscilla ignored me, shoving more of hers and the kids' clothes to her bag. With every movement she made she released a deep sigh and it broke my heart to watch her do so. I stood by the dressing table, watching get ignore me and act as though my presence was a mere flicker in the room. “Hear me out, please. I know you wanted to lea

BRENT’S POVThe next morning came faster than I expected. The bright rays of sun shone through the window blind, resting on the faces of my kids. I took a minute to admire their faces again and for once I could see the resemblance between them and Priscilla. Aiden had her bone and face structure while Avery had her tiny, little freckles and smile. I sighed, feeling confused, battered and in disarray. After Priscilla left the room last night, she didn't come outside, not even to the kitchen and I know because I waited under the disguise of getting water. Walking across the room she was in, I had the irresistible urge to knock and speak to her but I understood that she needed her space. After a while of brooding, I decided to retire to bed when I got a call from Pamela. The only reason I had her number saved on my face was because I hadn't had time to delete it. I hesitated the first and second time but she seemed persistent so I changed my mind about it. “I'm pregnant with your b
