Under The Shadow Of The Lycan Brothers のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 91 - チャプター 100

Mia's POV:“Mia!” A voice shrieked. It has been a day or so since Cassian left. He was going to gather evidence that he needed to defend me. Or at least contort it to prove my innocence.I turned to look at the door. There was the blond secretary who I had bonded over in a booked-out beauty parlor.“Felicity!” I screamed, standing to my feet. She let go of the box she was holding and ran towards me, hugging me.Thank the goddess she was back.“I missed you so much. I could barely enjoy my vacation.” She said after we pulled apart.I laughed. “Yeah. You missed me so much that you're glowing and you have a visible—but sexy—tan.”She flipped her hair over her shoulder, looking away from me, and then smiled. “I mean, the beach had such an attractive view.”“Or an attractive man,” I said narrowing my eyes at the spots on her neck. “You have a hickey.”Her eyes widened and she hovered her hand over my mouth. She looked around dramatically. “Keep it on the down low. No one can know that I ha

Mia's POV:When we got back to the car, Cassian didn't immediately start the car. We sat there silently for a few moments. “You did good. You didn't panic and you answered questions directly.”“They rearranged the room,” I said, sounding breathless. “They switched up everything. They made it look like I’m insane.”I looked at Cassian. Surprisingly, he looked calm. The direct opposite of how I felt and probably looked. “I just wasn't framed because I went to the apartment. They thought this through. Armani probably already stole the knife before I snuck in. I made it easier for him.”“You're having a valid reaction, Mia. And I understand. But, this gives us a clear ground on what we have to tackle.” He started the car, driving us back in the direction of the mansion.“This just sucks. The first few cases I decided to dip my feet into, they slapped a murderer on my head. I haven't been to the orphanage in days and my house probably isn't even safe anymore.” I complained putting on my se

Mia's POV:Jace looked away from me to stare out the window. He has never been mad at me. It's new and it feels weird. It feels like when my favorite parent is disappointed in me.Jace was always fun and bubbly and he was always on my side. I hope he didn't think that maybe supporting me and agreeing to take me along was a mistake.“I'm sorry,” I apologized, again.“That's enough, Mia. Just let him be.” Jaxon advised.I felt the tears sting my eyes but I held it back and looked out the window. It seemed like I was always making the wrong choices when it came to them.I didn't tell them about Pedro Infante and now I was being accused of murder. I went after Armani and he had just stabbed someone. I didn't even know if that person was dead or alive. But, hopefully, the siren noises I'd heard a while ago were the ambulance. The cops blazed by us and I realized they were driving to the club. They were going to investigate what had happened. Hopefully, the CCTV camera picked up Armani comm

Mia's POV:Nobody needed to explain what Jaxon was hinting at. It was as clear as day. He was going to find Armani personally. I'll bet that Jaxon was going to leave a mark or dozen on the man.“Are you okay?” Jackson asked, placing his hand on my shoulder.“I'm fine. Just a bit shaken, that's all.” I admitted, looking back at the broken window. I hadn't even been at this job for up to two months and I had already been attacked. After the incident, the Triplets tightened security around the pack house. More people were patrolling around my office. I could tell because I could hear their distinctive footsteps.Jaxon had special huntsmen tracking Armani down. I had already made him promise that he would let me talk to the guy before he did anything. There was a knock on my door. I straightened in my seat. “Come in,” I said. If it was an attacker, I was ready to shove him out of the window. The Triplets hadn't been training me for anything.“Cassian,” I said relieved when he walked in.“

Mia's POV:I grabbed the document from Felicity. “I can't believe you were holding this back from us,” I said, unwrapping it.“Well, if Jackson hadn't berated my skills, I would have told you about it sooner. I don't think anyone else would have thought this was important.” She said.It was an address. It was one of those safe buildings where each person had a small storage space with a combination. It was also what I recognized as a space in movies to exchange intel or dangerous items without meeting each other.“You think it's here?” I asked, passing it to the Triplets.“I know it's here,” Felicity said. She fished out something from her shirt. It was an envelope, ripped at the top to take its content. The letter was still inside. She gave it to me.This was what was written in the letter: GOOD JOB. THE REST OF THE MONEY IS AT THE SAME LOCATION BUT IN A DIFFERENT LOCKER. HERE ARE THE COMBINATIONS TO BOTH.— FI smiled. “F is for Franz. You found it.” I said to Felicity. “How did you
