Under The Shadow Of The Lycan Brothers のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 81 - チャプター 90

Mia's POV:I swallowed. “Is Armani that dangerous?” I asked. I tried not to judge him from his cover. But, the truth was that I had a hunch. Genevieve confirming it just made the fact so much more real. Why was Chloe still with someone like him?Genevieve nodded. “I did a quick profile on him. He sells drugs, Chloe. Has served time for it as well. People like him are never any good. He's a bad wolf. He won't hesitate to harm you if you cross the line. I hope you're ready.”This was why I contacted Genevieve. She never tries to talk me out of my plan. She only makes sure that it's better and that I'm ready for it. I suspected that she would want to be in the loop about this from now on.I nodded. “I've got to do what I have to do.”Author's POV:The two men spent every hour, taking turns to watch the apartment building. They surveyed the front door and the main exit, setting up cameras. They watched the apartment through the window despite it being on the fourth floor.Once, they prete

Mia's POV:I bit my bottom lip as Jace and Jaxon walked towards me. “Guys, I can explain.”“Explain,” Jaxon said.I swallowed. His eyes were dark and he looked like he was ready to end someone's life. My guess was Armani. So, I told them everything. I told them about Chloe and how she was groomed. How Armani was into illegal business and how I wanted to find out if they were hiding something.Of course, I didn't tell him about the man in the room. Not yet. It was my card to be able to meet Chloe again.“Mia…” Jackson started, sounding exasperated.“I know, I know. You don't want me getting into trouble. I understand that. I do but I had to. Chloe is my responsibility and I had to look out for her. You can't blame me for trying so hard.” I replied.“But I warned you, Mia. I warned you if Genevieve hadn't called…” he trailed off. “Hell, if anything had happened to you, I would have made every living wolf within a mile radius answer to my name.”“Why was Genevieve even here?” Jace asked.

Mia's POV:Love?I tried not to blush. Love, I repeated in my head over and over again as Jaxon pulled away from the hug.“I don't like getting angry. Especially when it comes to you.” He admitted, stroking my hair.“I don't like when you get angry at me as well,” I said.I also realized that Melanie was right. In more ways than one, I've been more intimate with Jaxon than Jace and Jackson. And I wasn't complaining.Jaxon placed a kiss on my forehead. “I'll leave you to work.” He said, walking backward with a smile on his face.I smiled back and cocked my head slightly to the side. “Bye,” I said. He left. After that, I called Genevieve. “Hey, I just want to apologize for what happened the other day. I appreciate how you helped me out. It means a lot to me.”“I was looking out for a friend, Mia. I'm just sorry that I didn't tell the Triplets about it. I think it's Because of me that they're angry.” She said.“They're not. Jaxon just came to apologize for getting angry.” I explained.“J

Mia's POV:The cat was out of the bag now. I had promised Chloe that I wouldn't say a word of what I saw in the apartment. But now, I was being accused of killing the man that they'd kidnapped.Did Armani frame me?So, I told them. They were extremely disappointed in me. I could tell from the way their eyes hardened ever so slightly. It brought tears to my eyes.“I was going to tell you. I didn't mean to lie,” I said, hoping that I wouldn't cry. “Chloe begged me. I trusted her and thought that I would keep it that way for a while. At least until I found out what her game was. I didn't know she was going to frame me for murder.”“Hey, hey, hey,” Jackson said, coming close to holding my head in his hands. He made me look into his grey eyes. “It's okay. Breathe. We're not angry at you.”“But you're disappointed,” I said, my voice sounding smaller than I wanted it to. I realized that I was scared of disappointing them more than anything. When this happened, I don't know.Maybe it was the

Mia's POV:There was a knock on the door. I was currently at the Triplet's mansion. Melanie came with me. She wanted to know what it was like living in a mansion, and this whole murder situation gave her the opportunity.I walked towards the door and unlocked it. There, on the other side, was a tall man with blond hair. He wore a navy blue suit with a patterned yellow tie. He wore round glasses, and I felt like I'd seen him somewhere.“Hi, how may I help you?” I asked, holding onto the door.He fished out a card from his pocket and handed it to me. “My name is Cassian D’ Angelo— defense attorney.” After I took his card, he held out his hand, and I shook it.“Oh, you must be the lawyer the Triplets talked about. Come on in.” I opened the door wider to let him in. We walked down the hallway to the first living room. “Have a seat. I'll go get them.”Cassian nodded, unbuttoning the jacket of his suit. He took a seat and crossed his legs.I looked at him briefly before taking the stairs.
