“What the hell is wrong with Melissa’s phone line? I have been trying to reach her line but to no avail. And this is driving me crazy. I just hope she is fine in Ohio,” that was the voice of Rod to Salsa, the moment she got on his private jet.Salsa dropped the bag containing his lunch on the table before seating opposite him, “It has been driving, me crazy too, dear. I thought you have visited her to know what the problem could be.” Salsa said and wondered if the thunderous looks on the face of Rod were accountable to my unreachable phone line or the problem he had with his father concerning marrying Opula.A few nights ago , Rod had invited her to the club to keep him company after the quarrelsome bickering he had with his father, about his refusal to marry Opula.Although she doubted Rod’s love for me, she was waiting for the right time for Rod to prove his feelings for me; to Salsa the job he got for me at a multinational company in Ohio wasn’t enough to prove his love for me. Upon sighting Rod Benson and his security prance into the banking hall, the bank manager hastened to him and greeted him honorably, but Rod gave him a look warm reply and would have given him the cold shoulders save for their long aged relationship.Noticing the unrest on his face, the bank manager beckoned on Rod, “Can you please join me in my office so that we can talk?”Rod snorted, rolled his eyes at him and managed to follow the lead of the bank manager as they approached his office.“Please do make yourself comfortable, Rod,” the bank manger said, smiling and dimming his smile once he saw that rod wasn’t; in any mood for fun and wouldn’t return the compliment.“I am not here to sit!” Rod snapped through clenched jaw, “By now you should be explaining why I can’t access the money on my credit card!” he slammed the credit card on the desk, “Do you know how embarrassing it is to get access denial on your credit card with all the crowd staring at you at the grocery store, and waiting

When Salsa came around the café and met Rod in T-shirt and jeans without security, seated to a cup of cocktail , she couldn’t believe her sight and would have gone back, doubting the young man seated over there wasn’t Rod.Surging closer she saw the gloom on his face, the scare and loss in his eyes, “where is your private jet? And why are we meeting here? And you are not supposed to be in the office today. This is work hour. What is happening, Rod?” she queried.Rod sniffed heavily, lowered his gaze in shame and summoned the courage to speak up, “Have a seat, Salsa,” he said in a low tone and stared around for onlookers. “I had to embrace courage and be accountable for my destiny,” he said as soon as Salsa sat down.Salsa dimmed her eyes, she seemed to be lost, “I don’t get it. What do you mean?” she scowled to listen yet further,Rod snorted and said, “When I told you I could do anything to prove my love for Melissa you thought I was bluffing. I have cut ties with my father. I am re

James Benson waited for the servant to pour their wine before he said, “You are welcome to my mansion, Fanny Luis. I hope you enjoy your visit.” He stretched his arm to pick up his flute of wine.Fanny returned the compliment with a dilated smile on his face, before sipping at his flute of wine, “Thank you very much, James,” he replied to him, smiling expectantly, before he cast a glance around.”“This is weekend and I am yet to see my son-in-law. Is he hanging out with the guys?” he asked.James forced a smile and grinned hugely, “Rod has cut ties with me. In fact it is the reason I invited you.”Fanny shot a surprised look at his beholder. Instantly, his gut went dry and head spun in utter disappointment; he expected James to call it a quit to the two billion dollars contract since the marriage between Opula and Rod wouldn’t be holding again.“What on earth would make Rod cut ties with his father? And what was he thinking when he took such precarious decision? What a dumb fools! Oh

As a neurosurgeon, he had learned not to get his patients emotionally inclined, especially patients like Brian who was treating memory loss.Once they got into the car and shut the doors, he turned on the engine and spoke softly to Eva even when he had the intention to yell at her for flouting his rules.“How old are you, Eva? Are you not old enough to be a nurse?” Bill asked her, “I gave you an instruction that will help the healing process of your brother but you ruined it. What is wrong with you, Eva? Do you want me to restrict you from coming around?”Eva had been all tears yet she mustered the courage to reply to Doctor Bill, “I don’t know what the hell you are nagging about, Doctor Bill.
