Okay, if there's such a thing as fate, it's on Noah's side because before he could call Lara, an unexpected woman called him. And what she needed was even more unexpected."It's just that... our parting sex, I can't forget it no matter what I do. I always imagine it, Noah. The way you just fingered me out of nowhere, right there in the car. Then, you didn't take me to the hotel. I was really surprised because you just parked the car in a dark place, and I thought you'd do it inside your car. But you took me out, you had sex with me with our clothes on. How you pounded on me so deep and hard, how you pulled my hair and bit my neck. Gosh! You fucked me really hard that night, Noah. You fucked my brains out. I didn't know you had that in you. Seriously, why did you only do that to me at the end? All that time, you were just holding back from being wild and dirty?"She laughed flirtatiously. Noah, who was just listening, seemed to be processing this. But he wouldn't deny that he was also

Ingrid grimaced at her reflection in the mirror after getting her hair and makeup done by Maki, one of RTA’s stylists and Pat’s boyfriend."Do I really have to look like this?" she muttered. In all fairness, Ingrid looked stunning with the makeover. She looked like a celebrity with her beachy waves and soft smoky eye makeup. She rarely wore makeup or styled her hair. Just face powder and a peach or nude lipstick for work. Her long hair was always in a ponytail, which Pat constantly nagged her to highlight with caramel balayage."Yes!" the two chorused loudly. She was wearing a midnight blue draped asymmetrical maxi skirt that revealed one of her thighs. Her top was a cream-colored halter. She still felt uncomfortable with her bare arms showing."Girl, you're going to be seen on TV while handing those documents to Maverick Logan," Maki said, even shaking her shoulder for emphasis."You can’t show up looking like a nun. You’d ruin RTA’s image," Pat added, laughing.RTA was known as a ta

Noah wanted to make the sign of the cross as he and Ingrid walked toward the hotel parking lot. Cade had convinced Maverick and Raffy to join them at Vibe. Meanwhile, he insisted that Ingrid ride with him, as Cade had invited her into his car.The woman smiled at him when he opened the door of his Porsche Macan for her."Thank you," she said, her eyes shining, as if no one had ever done such a thing for her before. When Noah got into the driver’s seat, he noticed Ingrid struggling to pull her seatbelt to buckle it.He leaned closer. "Sorry about that. It gets stuck sometimes."God, she smelled exquisite.Noah reached for the seatbelt and tried jolting it, but it seemed as if the stubborn thing was deliberately resisting him. He suppressed the urge to curse. His hormones were already on edge. When he glanced at Ingrid’s face, he caught her staring at him. Her lips were slightly parted, as if she were breathing through them. Her eyes looked curious and fascinated at the same time. That,

Ingrid was still breathing heavily when they reached Noah’s car. His grip on the steering wheel was tight as he started the engine. When their eyes met, they both let out an awkward laugh, traces of shock and wonder still visible on their faces—unable to comprehend how they managed to get through the heat of the moment earlier. That was crazy. But very, very hot."I need to clean myself," Noah said, looking at her meaningfully, gauging her reaction before voicing out what he truly wanted—though he already knew she felt the same. They both understood what the other was thinking. What happened on the dance floor wasn’t enough. They wanted to feel each other without any barriers."W-We can go to my apartment," Ingrid said, swallowing hard.Noah took her hand. "Are you sure about this?""Yes." Ingrid nodded—once, twice, then thrice. He smiled, lifting her hand to his lips and pressing a kiss to the back of it."Was it my clothes tonight?" she asked curiously once they were on the road.No

'Is this what all one-night stands are like? Do they always involve cuddling afterward?' Ingrid thought, as she lay sprawled on top of Noah, who was stretched out on the sofa. She could still feel her whole body trembling from what they had just done. She had never come that hard, ever. It felt like she had only just now truly understood what sex was. It was so beautiful, so pleasurable, so mysterious. It was like a beautiful dream she never wanted to end.A moment later, she couldn't help but let out a soft laugh."What?" Noah asked, confused. She lifted her head from his chest. "I just can't believe it.""That we had sex?""Yes, and..." Ingrid laughed again. "You're so wild, Sir. Sorry, it's just not what you look like."She didn't know if he was amused or surprised by her words. "What do I look like then?""Uh..." She looked at Noah's face. “With clothes on, you look like a teacher. Or a politician. Or maybe even a seminarian.”That made Noah laugh. "You're silly.""Can you excuse
