Raven’s POV Darkness clings to me like wet ash. I float in it, half-dreaming, half-drowning, voices murmur at the edges, distorted, pulling at me. Then comes the pain. It cuts through the fog, sharp and merciless, dragging me toward consciousness. My body is heavy, my chest tight, as if something is crushing me from the inside.
