~ AARON’S POVShe stepped out of the closet in the most stunning dress I’d ever seen her wear. My jaw nearly dropped. "Wow," I breathed, unable to look away. She gave me a shy smile as she asked "You like the dress?""Yes, but it’s not just the dress. It’s you. You look… wow," I murmured, completely awestruck. She smiled again, this time wider. "Thanks."Grabbing her purse, she looked at me. "Should we go now?""Yeah, sure."We walked out together and got into the car. I was just about to start the engine when she spoke up."Ugh, I forgot to wear earrings.""It’s fine. You look great without them," I said, glancing at her."Maybe, but I still want to wear them. Just wait for me, I’ll be quick." She hopped out before I could say more.As I leaned back to wait, her phone lit up and started buzzing. I didn’t bother checking at first, but when it rang a second time… then a third… curiosity got the better of me.I glanced at the screen. Luca was calling. My stomach twisted as anger surged

I sped to the address Kenzie had sent me, my heart pounding like it was trying to escape my chest. Panic swirled in my mind, refusing to settle. I should have known something was wrong with Luca. I should have called him when he didn’t call me.I didn’t waste time waking Aaron. I just grabbed his keys and took his car. I figured I’d explain once things get good and hopefully, he would understand, after all, this is a matter of life and death. The entire drive, my thoughts were spiraling. Horrible scenarios kept playing in my head. I couldn’t picture Luca hurt. My mind refused to form the image, and that made it even scarier because worst could have happened.Kenzie didn’t give me any solid details about the situation and I didn’t ask either. A part of me is scared to hear how bad things are especially since Kenzie called me crying. After an hour on the road, I finally arrived at the hospital. I parked quickly and rushed inside. Kenzie had mentioned they were in the emergency ward, so

I shared my address with Aaron, not because I wanted to see him, but because I needed him here to put an end to his nonsense once and for all. It’s one thing to block Luca on my phone. It’s another to pretend he’s a bad person for not reaching out. Aaron knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s trying to make Luca look like the villain so he can be the good guy and seem like he’s changed but clearly, he’s not. He’s still the same cold, lying man who used me for his selfish needs. Standing in the parking lot, I watched as Aaron pulled up. He stepped out of the car and the moment he saw me, he quickly hurried over."Oh my God, Bella, are you okay?" He asked, his voice full of panic.I didn’t say a word. I just stared at him, stunned. He kept going. "What happened to you? Why did you rush to the hospital and this hour and why didn’t you tell me anything?"He reached out to cup my face, but I pushed his hand away.He looked at me, clearly shocked. "What’s wrong?" He asked pretending to be con

~ BELLA’S POVIt’s the next morning and Luca’s condition is still the same. I haven’t met him since the time he told me about the call. I really want to see him again, talk to him and just make sure he’s okay.I sat in the waiting chair, my hands fidgeting in my lap, when Noah walked over and sat beside me. He looked at me with a soft smile and gently wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I smiled faintly and leaned my head against his chest. His warmth calmed me."It’s going to be okay," He said quietly."I really hope so." I sighed heartily "I just feel… awful," I whispered."Why?" He asked, brows pulling together in confusion.I lifted my head a little and took a breath. "When Luca got hurt… he called my number."" Ohh…. What did he say?""I don’t know. I never got the call," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "Aaron had blocked his number on my phone." I paused, swallowing the knot in my throat. "Luca only wanted to hear my voice. Just in case…"I couldn’t finish the sentence

My heart never stopped racing. I got to the hospital, panicked, scared but mostly confused. Luca was alright before I left, he was doing great but now it feels like everything has flipped over. Tears streamed down my face as I stood outside the emergency room Luca was taken to. I’ve been praying all hour hoping that he’d be fine. I can’t afford to lose him. "Bella you should sit down," Amaya said. I didn’t respond to her, my mind was solely on Luca as I kept wondering what is really going on with him. I keep thinking about it over and over again. He was fine before, he talked to me, he was doing okay and we had a great time but all of the sudden, how could he just lose it completely? How?More tears ran down my cheeks as I held onto my screams. "Bella." Amaya said softly placing her hand on my shoulder "You’ve been standing there for an hour, you should probably sit down."I turned to face her, my eyes still welled up with tears "What happened to Luca, he was fine before." I wiped
